The Commons service — the class’s own, not the day’s. Sung where the day prints no propers of its own: 1 of the 23 dated days below. 20 print their own propers, and those are what is sung; on 2 the Festal Cycle appoints a different Epistle that day.
Let the Saints exult in the Lord / let them sing for joy on their couches.
Verse: Sing to the Lord a new song; His praise in the assembly of the Saints.
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in His commandments.
Verse: His seed shall be mighty in the land.
Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous! Praise befits the just!

Reading a class’s Epistle is not the same as belonging to the class. The Apostol appoints §233 on 18 August because that day’s service is copied from December 10, not because Florus and Laurus are Confessors.
