Apostol § 280
Precious in the sight of the Lord / is the death of His Saints!
Verse: What shall I render to the Lord for all His bounty to me?
My son Timothy, I thank Jesus Christ our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus… This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am first. However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to them which should believe on Him to life everlasting. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, unto God who alone is wise, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Thy priests shall clothe themselves with righteousness, and Thy Saints shall rejoice!
The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. He shall not fear evil tidings.
