Commentary from 6 fathers
So they brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tabernacle which David pitched for it; and they offered whole-burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before God.
ΚΑΙ εἰσήνεγκαν τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ Θεοῦ καὶ ἀπηρείσαντο αὐτὴν ἐν μέσῳ τῆς σκηνῆς, ἧς ἔπηξεν αὐτῇ Δαυίδ, καὶ προσήνεγκαν ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ σωτηρίου ἐναντίον τοῦ Θεοῦ.
Принесо́ша ᲂу҆́бѡ кївѡ́тъ бж҃їй и҆ поста́виша є҆го̀ посредѣ̀ ски́нїи, ю҆́же водрꙋзѝ є҆мꙋ̀ даві́дъ, и҆ принесо́ша всесожжє́нїѧ и҆ спаси́тєльнаѧ пред̾ гдⷭ҇емъ.
And David finished offering up whole-burnt-offerings and peace-offerings, and blessed the people in the name of the Lord.
καὶ συνετέλεσε Δαυὶδ ἀναφέρων ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ σωτηρίου καὶ εὐλόγησε τὸν λαὸν ἐν ὀνόματι Κυρίου.
И҆ совершѝ даві́дъ возносѧ̀ всесожжє́нїѧ и҆ спаси́тєльнаѧ, и҆ благословѝ лю́ди во и҆́мѧ гдⷭ҇не,
And he divided to every man of Israel (both men and women), to [every] man one baker’s loaf, and a cake.
καὶ διεμέρισε παντὶ ἀνδρὶ ᾿Ισραὴλ ἀπὸ ἀνδρὸς καὶ ἕως γυναικός, τῷ ἀνδρὶ ἄρτον ἕνα ἀρτοκοπικὸν καὶ ἀμορίτην.
и҆ раздѣлѝ всѧ́комꙋ мꙋ́жꙋ і҆и҃льскꙋ, ѿ мꙋ́жа да́же до жены̀, мꙋ́жꙋ хлѣ́бъ є҆ди́нъ пече́ный, (и҆ ча́сть пече́на мѧ́са,) и҆ прѧ́женый со є҆ле́емъ семїда́лъ:
And he appointed before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, Levites to minister [and] lift up the voice, and to give thanks and praise the Lord God of Israel:
καὶ ἔταξε κατὰ πρόσωπον τῆς κιβωτοῦ διαθήκης Κυρίου ἐκ τῶν Λευιτῶν λειτουργοῦντας ἀναφωνοῦντας καὶ ἐξομολογεῖσθαι καὶ αἰνεῖν Κύριον τὸν Θεὸν ᾿Ισραήλ·
поста́ви же пред̾ лице́мъ кївѡ́та завѣ́та гдⷭ҇нѧ ѿ леѵі̑тъ, є҆́же слꙋжи́ти и҆ возглаша́ти (дѣла̀ є҆гѡ̀), и҆ и҆сповѣ́дати и҆ хвали́ти гдⷭ҇а бг҃а і҆и҃лева:
Asaph [was] the chief, and next to him Zacharias, Jeiel, Semiramoth, and Jeiel, Mattathias, Eliab, and Banaeas, and Abdedom: and Jeiel sounding with musical instruments, lutes [and] harps, and Asaph with cymbals:
᾿Ασὰφ ὁ ἡγούμενος, καὶ δευτερεύων αὐτῷ Ζαχαρίας, ᾿Ιεϊήλ, Σεμιραμώθ, ᾿Ιεϊήλ, Ματταθίας, ᾿Ελιὰβ καὶ Βαναίας, καὶ ᾿Αβδεδὸμ καὶ ᾿Ιεϊὴλ ἐν ὀργάνοις, νάβλαις, κινύραις, καὶ ᾿Ασὰφ ἐν κυμβάλοις ἀναφωνῶν.
а҆са́фъ нача́льникъ, и҆ дрꙋгі́й по не́мъ заха́рїа, і҆еїи́лъ и҆ семїрамѡ́ѳъ, и҆ і҆еїи́лъ и҆ маттаѳі́а, и҆ є҆лїа́въ и҆ ване́а и҆ а҆вдедо́мъ: і҆еїи́лъ же во ѻ҆рга́нѣхъ и҆ ѱалти́ри и҆ гꙋ́слехъ, а҆са́фъ же въ кѷмва́лѣхъ возглаша́ѧ:
and Banaeas and Oziel the priests [sounding] continually with trumpets before the ark of the covenant of God in that day.
καὶ Βαναίας καὶ ᾿Οζιὴλ οἱ ἱερεῖς ἐν ταῖς σάλπιγξι διαπαντὸς ἐναντίον τῆς κιβωτοῦ τῆς διαθήκης τοῦ Θεοῦ.
и҆ ване́а и҆ ѻ҆зїи́лъ свѧще́нницы (трꙋби́ша) вы́нꙋ въ трꙋбы̑ пред̾ кївѡ́томъ завѣ́та бж҃їѧ.
Then David first gave orders to praise the Lord by the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
᾿Εν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνη τότε ἔταξε Δαυὶδ ἐν ἀρχῇ τοῦ αἰνεῖν τὸν Κύριον ἐν χειρὶ ᾿Ασὰφ καὶ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ.
Въ то́й де́нь ᲂу҆стро́и даві́дъ въ нача́лѣ хвали́ти гдⷭ҇а рꙋко́ю а҆са́фа и҆ бра́тїи є҆гѡ̀.
Sing [songs] to him, and sing hymns to him, relate to all [people] his wonderful deeds, which the Lord has wrought.
ᾄσατε αὐτῷ καὶ ὑμνήσατε αὐτῷ, διηγήσασθε πᾶσι τὰ θαυμάσια αὐτοῦ, ἃ ἐποίησε Κύριος.
по́йте є҆мꙋ̀ и҆ воспо́йте є҆мꙋ̀, повѣ́дите всѧ̑ чꙋдеса̀ є҆гѡ̀, ꙗ҆̀же сотворѝ гдⷭ҇ь:
Praise his holy name, the heart that seeks his pleasure shall rejoice.
αἰνεῖτε ἐν ὀνόματι ἁγίῳ αὐτοῦ, εὐφρανθήσεται καρδία ζητοῦσα τὴν εὐδοκίαν αὐτοῦ.
хвали́те и҆́мѧ ст҃о́е є҆гѡ̀, да возвесели́тсѧ се́рдце и҆́щꙋщее бл҃говоле́нїѧ є҆гѡ̀:
Seek the Lord and be strong, seek his face continually.
ζητήσατε τὸν Κύριον καὶ ἰσχύσατε, ζητήσατε τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ διαπαντός.
взыщи́те гдⷭ҇а и҆ ᲂу҆крѣпи́тесѧ, взыщи́те лица̀ є҆гѡ̀ вы́нꙋ:
Remember his wonderful works which he has wrought, his wonders, and the judgments of is mouth;
μνημονεύετε τὰ θαυμάσια αὐτοῦ, ἃ ἐποίησε, τέρατα καὶ κρίματα τοῦ στόματος αὐτοῦ.
помѧни́те чꙋдеса̀ є҆гѡ̀, ꙗ҆̀же сотворѝ, зна́мєнїѧ и҆ сꙋдьбы̑ ᲂу҆́стъ є҆гѡ̀,
[ye] seed of Israel his servants, [ye] seed of Jacob his chosen ones.
σπέρμα ᾿Ισραὴλ παῖδες αὐτοῦ, υἱοὶ ᾿Ιακὼβ ἐκλεκτοὶ αὐτοῦ.
сѣ́мѧ і҆и҃лево, рабѝ є҆гѡ̀, сы́нове і҆а̑кѡвли, и҆збра́ннїи є҆гѡ̀.
He [is] the Lord our God; his judgments [are] in all the earth.
αὐτὸς Κύριος ὁ Θεὸς ἡμῶν, ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ τὰ κρίματα αὐτοῦ.
То́й гдⷭ҇ь бг҃ъ на́шъ, во все́й землѝ сꙋдьбы̑ є҆гѡ̀.
Let us remember his covenant for ever, his word which he commanded to a thousand generations,
μνημονεύων εἰς αἰῶνα διαθήκης αὐτοῦ, λόγον αὐτοῦ, ὃν ἐνετείλατο εἰς χιλίας γενεάς,
Помѧне́мъ во вѣ́къ завѣ́тъ є҆гѡ̀, сло́во є҆гѡ̀, є҆́же заповѣ́да въ ты́сѧщы родѡ́въ,
As it has been supposed by some that the book of Psalms merely consists of hymns to God and sacred songs and that we shall look in vain in it for predictions and prophecies of the future, let us realize distinctly that it contains many prophecies, far too many to be quoted now, and it must suffice for proof of what Isaiah to make use of two psalms ascribed to Asaph, written in the time of David. For Asaph was one of the temple musicians then, as is stated in the book of Chronicles, and was inspired by the divine Spirit to speak the psalms inscribed with his name.
Proof of the Gospel 10.1
which he covenanted with Abraham, and his oath [sworn] to Isaac.
ὃν διέθετο τῷ ῾Αβραὰμ καὶ τὸν ὅρκον αὐτοῦ τῷ ᾿Ισαάκ·
є҆́же завѣща̀ а҆враа́мꙋ, и҆ клѧ́твꙋ свою̀ і҆саа́кꙋ:
He confirmed it to Jacob for an ordinance, to Israel [as] an everlasting covenant,
ἔστησεν αὐτὸν τῷ ᾿Ιακὼβ εἰς πρόσταγμα, τῷ ᾿Ισραὴλ διαθήκην αἰώνιον
и҆ поста́ви є҆̀ і҆а́кѡвꙋ въ повелѣ́нїе, і҆и҃лю въ завѣ́тъ вѣ́ченъ,
saying, To thee will I give the land of Chanaan, the line of your inheritance:
λέγων· σοὶ δώσω τὴν γῆν Χαναὰν σχοίνισμα κληρονομίας ὑμῶν.
гл҃ѧ: тебѣ̀ да́мъ зе́млю ханаа́ню, ᲂу҆́же достоѧ́нїѧ ва́шегѡ.
when they were few in number, when they were but little, and dwelt as strangers in it;
ἐν τῷ γενέσθαι αὐτοὺς ὀλιγοστοὺς ἀριθμῷ ὡς ἐσμικρύνθησαν καὶ παρῴκησαν ἐν αὐτῇ.
Внегда̀ бы́ти и҆̀мъ ма̑лымъ число́мъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ ᲂу҆ма́лишасѧ и҆ пресели́шасѧ въ ню̀,
and went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people.
καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ἀπὸ ἔθνους εἰς ἔθνος καὶ ἀπὸ βασιλείας εἰς λαὸν ἕτερον.
и҆ преидо́ша ѿ ꙗ҆зы́ка въ ꙗ҆зы́къ и҆ ѿ ца́рствїѧ къ лю́демъ и҆ны̑мъ,
He suffered not a man to oppress them, and he reproved kings for their sakes,
οὐκ ἀφῆκεν ἄνδρα τοῦ δυναστεῦσαι αὐτοὺς καὶ ἤλεγξε περὶ αὐτῶν βασιλεῖς·
не ѡ҆ста́ви мꙋ́жа ѡ҆би́дѣти и҆̀хъ, и҆ ѡ҆бличѝ ѡ҆ ни́хъ цари̑:
saying, Touch not my anointed ones, and deal not wrongfully with my prophets.
μὴ ἅψησθε τῶν χριστῶν μου καὶ ἐν τοῖς προφήταις μου μὴ πονηρεύεσθε.
не прикаса́йтесѧ пома̑заннымъ мои̑мъ, и҆ во прⷪ҇ро́цѣхъ мои́хъ не лꙋка́внꙋйте.
There was no need that there should everywhere exist many bodies and many spirits like Jesus, in order that the entire humankind might be enlightened by the Word of God. For the one Word was enough, having arisen as the “Sun of righteousness,” to send forth from Judea his coming rays into the souls of all who were willing to receive him. But if anyone desires to see many bodies filled with a divine Spirit, similar to the one Christ, ministering to the salvation of people everywhere, let him take note of those who teach the Gospel of Jesus in all lands in soundness of doctrine and uprightness of life and who are themselves termed “christs” by the holy Scriptures in the passage “Do not touch my anointed, and do not harm my prophets.” For as we have heard that Antichrist comes and yet have learned that there are many antichrists in the world, in the same way, knowing that Christ has come, we see that, owing to him, there are many christs in the world, who, like him, have loved righteousness and hated iniquity, and therefore God, the God of Christ, anointed them also with the “oil of gladness.”
Against Celsus 6.79
How splendidly joined to each other are the sections proceeding from the same source to achieve the salvation of the human race. Who would not be amazed that what is said earlier in different psalms is clearly assembled so harmoniously here? Similarly David himself in the Chronicles is filled with the holy Spirit and made the Lord’s praises resound with great expressions of joy by assembling sections of Psalms 95; 104 and 105, so that incense compounded of different aromas could happily rise to the Lord’s presence; for sentiments that are clear, in no sense at odds with each other are united without difficulty.… My judgment is that there is another apt feature in the present instance: the action of the Lord made one church out of the two peoples.
Explanation of the Psalms, Conclusion
Sing ye to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation from day to day.
ᾄσατε τῷ Κυρίῳ, πᾶσα ἡ γῆ, ἀναγγείλατε ἐξ ἡμέρας εἰς ἡμέραν σωτηρίαν αὐτοῦ.
Воспо́йте гдⷭ҇еви, всѧ̀ землѧ̀, возвѣсти́те ѿ днѐ на де́нь спⷭ҇нїе є҆гѡ̀,
23–31And again, in another prophecy, the Spirit of prophecy, through the same David, intimated that Christ, after He had been crucified, should reign, and spoke as follows: "Sing to the Lord, all the earth, and day by day declare His salvation. For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, to be feared above all the gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols of devils; but God made the heavens. Glory and praise are before His face, strength and glorying are in the habitation of His holiness. Give Glory to the Lord, the Father everlasting. Receive grace, and enter His presence, and worship in His holy courts. Let all the earth fear before His face; let it be established, and not shaken. Let them rejoice among the nations. The Lord hath reigned from the tree."
But when the Spirit of prophecy speaks of things that are about to come to pass as if they had already taken place,-as may be observed even in the passages already cited by me,-that this circumstance may afford no excuse to readers [for misinterpreting them], we will make even this also quite plain. The things which He absolutely knows will take place, He predicts as if already they had taken place. And that the utterances must be thus received, you will perceive, if you give your attention to them. The words cited above, David uttered 1500 years before Christ became a man and was crucified; and no one of those who lived before Him, nor yet of His contemporaries, afforded joy to the Gentiles by being crucified. But our Jesus Christ, being crucified and dead, rose again, and having ascended to heaven, reigned; and by those things which were published in His name among all nations by the apostles, there is joy afforded to those who expect the immortality promised by Him.
The First Apology, Chapters XLI-XLII
"O sing unto the Lord a new song; sing unto the Lord, all the earth." If all the earth sings a new song, it is thus building while it sings; the very act of singing is building, but only if it sings not the old song. The lust of the flesh sings the old song; the love of God sings the new. Hear why it is a new song: the Lord says, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another." The whole earth then sings a new song: there the house of God is built. All the earth is the house of God. If all the earth is the house of God, he who clings not to all the earth is a ruin, not a house; that old ruin whose shadow that ancient temple represented. For there what was old was destroyed, that what was new might be built up.
Expositions of the Psalms 96.2
Declare among the nations his glory, his wondrous deeds among all peoples.
ἐξηγεῖσθε ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσι τὴν δόξαν αὐτοῦ, ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς λαοῖς τὰ θαυμάσια αὐτοῦ.
возвѣсти́те во ꙗ҆зы́цѣхъ сла́вꙋ є҆гѡ̀, во всѣ́хъ лю́дехъ чꙋдеса̀ є҆гѡ̀,
For the Lord [is] great, and greatly to be praised: he [is] to be feared above all gods.
ὅτι μέγας Κύριος καὶ αἰνετὸς σφόδρα, φοβερός ἐστιν ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς θεούς.
ꙗ҆́кѡ ве́лїй гдⷭ҇ь и҆ хва́ленъ ѕѣлѡ̀, стра́шенъ є҆́сть над̾ всѣ́ми бѡ́ги.
For all the gods of the nations [are] idols; but our God made the heavens.

Glory and praise [are] in his presence; strength and rejoicing [are] in his place.

The First Apology, Chapters XLI-XLII
The sea with its fullness shall resound and the tree of the field, and all things in it.
βομβήσει ἡ θάλασσα σὺν τῷ πληρώματι καὶ ξύλον ἀγροῦ καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐν αὐτῷ·
Да возгласи́тъ мо́ре и҆ и҆сполне́нїе є҆гѡ̀, и҆ древа̀ пѡльска́ѧ, и҆ всѧ̑ ꙗ҆̀же на ни́хъ.
Then shall the trees of the wood rejoice before the Lord, for he is come to judge the earth.
τότε εὐφρανθήσεται τὰ ξύλα τοῦ δρυμοῦ ἀπὸ προσώπου Κυρίου, ὅτι ἦλθε κρῖναι τὴν γῆν.

Give thanks to the Lord, for [it is] good, for his mercy [is] for ever.
ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῷ Κυρίῳ, ὅτι ἀγαθόν, ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ.
И҆сповѣ́дайтесѧ гдⷭ҇еви, ꙗ҆́кѡ бл҃гъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ въ вѣ́къ млⷭ҇ть є҆гѡ̀,
And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us, and rescue us from among the heathen, that we may praise thy holy name, and glory in thy praises.
καὶ εἴπατε· σῶσον ἡμᾶς, ὁ Θεὸς τῆς σωτηρίας ἡμῶν, καὶ ἄθροισον ἡμᾶς, καὶ ἐξελοῦ ἡμᾶς ἐκ τῶν ἐθνῶν τοῦ αἰνεῖν τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ἅγιόν σου καὶ καυχᾶσθαι ἐν ταῖς αἰνέσεσί σου.

Blessed [be] the Lord God of Israel from everlasting and to everlasting: And all the people shall say, Amen. So they praised the Lord.
εὐλογημένος Κύριος ὁ Θεὸς ᾿Ισραὴλ ἀπὸ τοῦ αἰῶνος καὶ ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος· καὶ ἐρεῖ πᾶς ὁ λαός· ἀμήν. καὶ ᾔνεσαν τῷ Κυρίῳ.
Блгⷭ҇ве́нъ гдⷭ҇ь бг҃ъ і҆и҃левъ ѿ вѣ́ка да́же и҆ до вѣ́ка. И҆ рекꙋ́тъ всѝ лю́дїе: а҆ми́нь. И҆ восхвали́ша гдⷭ҇а.
And they left there Asaph and his brethren before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to minister before the ark continually, according to the service of each day: from day to day.
Καὶ κατέλιπον ἐκεῖ ἔναντι τῆς κιβωτοῦ διαθήκης Κυρίου τὸν ᾿Ασὰφ καὶ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ τοῦ λειτουργεῖν ἐναντίον τῆς κιβωτοῦ διαπαντὸς τὸ τῆς ἡμέρας εἰς ἡμέραν.
И҆ ѡ҆ста́виша та́мѡ пред̾ кївѡ́томъ завѣ́та гдⷭ҇нѧ а҆са́фа и҆ бра́тїю є҆гѡ̀, да слꙋ́жатъ пред̾ кївѡ́томъ вы́нꙋ по всѧ̑ дни̑:
And Abdedom and his brethren [were] sixty and eight; and Abdedom the son of Idithun, and Osa, [were] to be door-keepers.
καὶ ᾿Αβδεδὸμ καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ, ἑξήκοντα καὶ ὀκτώ, καὶ ᾿Αβδεδὸμ υἱὸς ᾿Ιδιθοὺν καὶ ᾿Οσσὰ εἰς πυλωρούς.
и҆ а҆вдедо́мъ и҆ бра́тїѧ є҆гѡ̀, шестьдесѧ́тъ ѻ҆́смь: и҆ а҆вдедо́мъ сы́нъ і҆дїѳꙋ́нь и҆ ѻ҆са́й (поста́влени) во две́рники:
And [they appointed] Sadoc the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place in Gabaon,
καὶ τὸν Σαδὼκ τὸν ἱερέα καὶ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ τοὺς ἱερεῖς ἐναντίον τῆς σκηνῆς Κυρίου ἐν Βαμὰ τῇ ἐν Γαβαὼν
садѡ́ка же свѧще́нника и҆ бра́тїю є҆гѡ̀ свѧще́нниками пред̾ ски́нїею гдⷭ҇нею въ вы́шнихъ и҆̀же въ гаваѡ́нѣ,
to offer up whole-burnt-offerings continually morning and evening, and according to all things written in the law of the Lord, which he commanded the children of Israel by Moses the servant of God.
τοῦ ἀναφέρειν ὁλοκαυτώματα τῷ Κυρίῳ ἐπὶ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου τῶν ὁλοκαυτωμάτων διαπαντὸς τὸ πρωΐ καὶ τὸ ἑσπέρας καὶ κατὰ πάντα τὰ γεγραμμένα ἐν νόμῳ Κυρίου ὅσα ἐνετείλατο ἐφ᾿ υἱοῖς ᾿Ισραὴλ ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ τοῦ θεράποντος τοῦ Θεοῦ·
да возно́сѧтъ всесожжє́нїѧ гдⷭ҇еви на ѻ҆лтарѝ всесожже́нїй вы́нꙋ ᲂу҆́трѡ и҆ ве́черъ, и҆ по всѣ̑мъ ꙗ҆̀же пи̑сана сꙋ́ть въ зако́нѣ гдⷭ҇ни, є҆ли̑ка повелѣ̀ сынѡ́мъ і҆и҃лєвымъ рꙋко́ю мѡѷсе́а раба̀ бж҃їѧ:
And with him [were] Aeman and Idithun, and the rest chosen out by name to praise the Lord, for his mercy [endures] for ever.
καὶ μετ᾿ αὐτοῦ Αἰμὰν καὶ ᾿Ιδιθοὺν καὶ οἱ λοιποὶ ἐκλεγέντες ἐπ᾿ ὀνόματος τοῦ αἰνεῖν τὸν Κύριον, ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ,
и҆ съ ни́ми є҆ма́нъ и҆ і҆дїѳꙋ́мъ и҆ про́чїи и҆збра́ннїи кі́йждо зва́нїемъ свои́мъ є҆́же хвали́ти гдⷭ҇а, ꙗ҆́кѡ въ вѣ́къ млⷭ҇ть є҆гѡ̀:
We know two psalms with the title “For Idithun,” the sixty-first and the thirty-eighth. We think that the composition of the work is owed to David; that was given to Idithun for his use that he might correct the passions of his soul and also as a choral song to be sung in the presence of the people. Through it, also, God was glorified, and those who heard it amended their habits. Now, Idithun was a singer in the temple, as the history of the Paralipomenon testifies to us, saying, “And after them Heman and Idithun sounded the trumpets and played on the cymbals and all kinds of musical instruments to sing praises to God.” And a little later it says, “Moreover David the king and the chief officers of the army separated for the ministry the sons of Asaph, and of Heman and of Idithun: to prophesy with harps, and with psalteries and with tympana.”

And with them [there were] trumpets and cymbals to sound aloud, and musical instruments for the songs of God: and the sons of Idithun [were] at the gate.
καὶ μετ᾿ αὐτῶν σάλπιγγες καὶ κύμβαλα τοῦ ἀναφωνεῖν καὶ ὄργανα τῶν ᾠδῶν τοῦ Θεοῦ, οἱ δὲ υἱοὶ ᾿Ιδιθοὺν εἰς τὴν πύλην.
и҆ съ ни́ми трꙋбы̑ и҆ кѷмва́лы є҆́же возглаша́ти, и҆ ѻ҆рга́ны пѣ́нїй бж҃їихъ: сы́нове же і҆дїѳꙋ̑мли во вратѣ́хъ (стоѧ́хꙋ).
And all the people went every one to his home: and David returned to bless his house.
καὶ ἐπορεύθη πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἕκαστος εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐπέστρεψε Δαυὶδ τοῦ εὐλογῆσαι τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ.
И҆ и҆до́ша всѝ лю́дїе кі́йждо въ до́мъ сво́й, и҆ даві́дъ возврати́сѧ, да благослови́тъ до́мъ сво́й.
Song. Give thanks to the Lord, call upon him by his name, make known his designs among the people.
