Apostol § 81ctr

Romans 2:10–16
Prokeimenon, Tone 1

Let Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us as we have set our hope on Thee!

Verse: Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous! Praise befits the just!

Brethren, glory, honor, and peace to every man who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Gentile. For there is no partiality with God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law (for it is not the hearers of the law who are just before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified … for when the Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things contained in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my Gospel…

Alleluia, Tone 1

God gives vengeance to me, and subdues people under me.

Verse: He magnifies the salvation of the King, and deals mercifully with His Christ, with David and his seed forever.

Communion Hymn

Praise the Lord from the heavens
