1 Kings (3 Kings) 2

And the days of David drew near that he should die: and he addressed his son Solomon, saying, I go the way of all the earth:

ΚΑΙ ἤγγισαν αἱ ἡμέραι Δαυὶδ ἀποθανεῖν αὐτόν, καὶ ἀπεκρίνατο Σαλωμὼν υἱῷ αὐτοῦ λέγων·

И҆ прибли́жишасѧ даві́дꙋ дні́е ᲂу҆мре́ти є҆мꙋ̀, и҆ заповѣ́да соломѡ́нꙋ сы́нꙋ своемꙋ̀, глаго́лѧ:

but be thou strong, and shew thyself a man;

ἐγώ εἰμι πορεύομαι ἐν ὁδῷ πάσης τῆς γῆς· καὶ ἰσχύσεις καὶ ἔσῃ εἰς ἄνδρα.

а҆́зъ ѿхождꙋ̀ въ пꙋ́ть всеѧ̀ землѝ: ты́ же крѣпи́сѧ, и҆ бꙋ́ди мꙋ́жъ соверше́нъ,

and keep the charge of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep the commandments and the ordinances and the judgments which are written in the law of Moses; that thou mayest understand what thou shalt do in all things that I command thee:

καὶ φυλάξεις φυλακὴν Κυρίου Θεοῦ σου τοῦ πορεύεσθαι ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτοῦ, φυλάσσειν τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα καὶ τὰ κρίματα τὰ γεγραμμένα ἐν τῶ νόμῳ Μωυσέως· ἵνα συνήσῃς ἃ ποιήσεις κατὰ πάντα, ὅσα ἂν ἐντείλωμαί σοι,

и҆ сохранѝ завѣ́тъ гдⷭ҇а бг҃а твоегѡ̀, є҆́же ходи́ти во всѣ́хъ пꙋте́хъ є҆гѡ̀, храни́ти за́пѡвѣди є҆гѡ̀ и҆ ѡ҆правда̑нїѧ є҆гѡ̀, и҆ сꙋдьбы̑ є҆гѡ̀ и҆ свидѣ̑нїѧ є҆гѡ̀, пи̑саннаѧ въ зако́нѣ мѡѷсе́овѣ: да разꙋмѣ́еши ꙗ҆̀же сотвори́ши по всѣ̑мъ, є҆ли̑ка заповѣ́дахъ тебѣ̀:

that the Lord may confirm his word which he spoke, saying, If thy children shall take heed to their way to walk before me in truth with all their heart, [I promise thee], saying, there shall not fail thee a man on the throne of Israel.

ἵνα στήσῃ Κύριος τὸν λόγον αὐτοῦ, ὃν ἐλάλησε λέγων· ἐὰν φυλάξωσιν οἱ υἱοί σου τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτῶν πορεύεσθαι ἐνώπιόν μου ἐν ἀληθείᾳ ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ αὐτῶν λέγων· οὐκ ἐξολοθρευθήσεταί σοι ἀνὴρ ἐπάνωθεν θρόνου ᾿Ισραήλ.

да ᲂу҆тверди́тъ гдⷭ҇ь сло́во своѐ, є҆́же речѐ ѡ҆ мнѣ̀, гл҃ѧ: а҆́ще сохранѧ́тъ сы́нове твоѝ пꙋти̑ своѧ̑, є҆́же ходи́ти предо мно́ю во и҆́стинѣ всѣ́мъ се́рдцемъ свои́мъ и҆ все́ю дꙋше́ю свое́ю, гл҃ѧ: не и҆скорени́тсѧ тебѣ̀ мꙋ́жъ съ престо́ла і҆и҃лева:

Therefore thou shalt deal [with him] according to thy wisdom, and thou shalt not bring down his grey hairs in peace to the grave.

καὶ ποιήσεις κατὰ τὴν σοφίαν σου καὶ οὐ κατάξεις τὴν πολιὰν αὐτοῦ ἐν εἰρήνῃ εἰς ᾅδου·

и҆ сотвори́ши по мꙋ́дрости твое́й, и҆ не сведе́ши ста́рости є҆гѡ̀ съ ми́ромъ во а҆́дъ:

But thou shalt deal kindly with the sons of Berzelli the Galaadite, and they shall be among those that eat at thy table; for thus they drew nigh to me when I fled from the face of thy brother Abessalom.

καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Βερζελλὶ τοῦ Γαλααδίτου ποιήσεις ἔλεος, καὶ ἔσονται ἐν τοῖς ἐσθίουσι τὴν τράπεζάν σου, ὅτι οὕτως ἤγγισάν μοι ἐν τῷ με ἀποδιδράσκειν ἀπὸ προσώπου ᾿Αβεσσαλὼμ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου.

сынѡ́мъ же верзеллі́и галааді́тина сотвори́ши ми́лость, и҆ да бꙋ́дꙋтъ съ ꙗ҆дꙋ́щими трапе́зꙋ твою̀: ꙗ҆́кѡ та́кѡ прибли́жишасѧ мнѣ̀, внегда̀ бѣжа́ти мнѣ̀ ѿ лица̀ а҆вессалѡ́ма бра́та твоегѡ̀:

And, behold, [there is] with thee Semei the son of Gera, a Benjamite of Baurim: and he cursed me with a grievous curse in the day when I went into the camp; and he came down to Jordan to meet me, and I swore to him by the Lord, saying, I will not put thee to death with the sword.

καὶ ἰδοὺ μετὰ σοῦ Σεμεΐ υἱὸς Γηρὰ υἱὸς τοῦ ᾿Ιεμενὶ ἐκ Βαουρίμ, καὶ αὐτὸς κατηράσατό με κατάραν ὀδυνηρὰν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ, ᾗ ἐπορευόμην εἰς Παρεμβολάς, καὶ αὐτὸς κατέβη εἰς ἀπαντήν μου εἰς τὸν ᾿Ιορδάνην, καὶ ὤμοσα αὐτῷ ἐν Κυρίῳ λέγων· εἰ θανατώσω σε ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ·

и҆ сѐ, съ тобо́ю семе́й сы́нъ гира́нь сы́нъ і҆емені́инъ ѿ ваꙋрі́ма, и҆ то́й проклѧ́ мѧ проклѧ́тїемъ го́рькимъ, въ де́нь во́ньже и҆схожда́хъ въ полкѝ: и҆ то́й сни́де на срѣ́тенїе мѝ на і҆ѻрда́нъ, и҆ клѧ́хсѧ є҆мꙋ̀ ѡ҆ гдⷭ҇ѣ, глаго́лѧ: не ᲂу҆бїю́ тѧ ѻ҆рꙋ́жїемъ:

And the days which David reigned over Israel [were] forty years; he reigned seven years in Chebron, and thirty-three years in Jerusalem.

καὶ αἱ ἡμέραι, ἃς ἐβασίλευσε Δαυὶδ ἐπὶ τὸν ᾿Ισραὴλ τεσσαράκοντα ἔτη· ἐν Χεβρὼν ἐβασίλευσεν ἑπτὰ ἔτη καὶ ἐν ῾Ιερουσαλὴμ τριάκοντα τρία ἔτη.

И҆ бы́сть дні́й, въ нѧ́же ца́рствова даві́дъ во і҆и҃ли, четы́редесѧть лѣ́тъ: въ хеврѡ́нѣ ца́рствова се́дмь лѣ́тъ, во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мѣ же три́десѧть трѝ лѣ̑та.

And Solomon sat on the throne of his father David [a twelve years old son], and his kingdom was established greatly.

Καὶ Σαλωμὼν ἐκάθισεν ἐπὶ θρόνου Δαυὶδ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ υἱὸς ἐτῶν δώδεκα καὶ ἡτοιμάσθη ἡ βασιλεία αὐτοῦ σφόδρα.

И҆ соломѡ́нъ сѣ́де на престо́лѣ даві́да ѻ҆тца̀ своегѡ̀ сы́нъ двана́десѧти лѣ́тъ, и҆ ᲂу҆гото́васѧ ца́рствїе є҆гѡ̀ ѕѣлѡ̀.

And Adonias the son of Aggith came in to Bersabee the mother of Solomon, and did obeisance to her: and she said, Dost thou enter peaceably? and he said, Peaceably:

καὶ εἰσῆλθεν ᾿Αδωνίας υἱὸς ᾿Αγγὶθ πρὸς Βηρσαβεὲ μητέρα Σαλωμὼν καὶ προσεκύνησεν αὐτῇ. ἡ δὲ εἶπεν· εἰρήνη ἡ εἴσοδός σου; καὶ εἶπεν· εἰρήνη·

И҆ вни́де а҆дѡ́нїа сы́нъ а҆ггі́ѳинъ къ вирсаві́и ма́тери соломѡ́ни, и҆ поклони́сѧ є҆́й. Ѻ҆на́ же речѐ: ми́ръ ли вхо́дъ тво́й; И҆ речѐ: ми́ръ.

I have business with thee. And she said to him, Say on.

λόγος μοι πρός σε· καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· λάλησον.

И҆ речѐ: сло́во мнѣ̀ къ тебѣ̀. И҆ речѐ є҆мꙋ̀: глаго́ли.

And he said to her, Thou knowest that the kingdom was mine, and all Israel turned their face toward me for a king; but the kingdom was turned [from me] and became my brother’s: for it was [appointed] to him from the Lord.

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ· σὺ οἶδας, ὅτι ἐμοὶ ἦν βασιλεία καὶ ἐπ᾿ ἐμὲ ἔθετο πᾶς ᾿Ισραὴλ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ εἰς βασιλέα, καὶ ἐστράφη ἡ βασιλεία καὶ ἐγένετο τῷ ἀδελφῷ μου, ὅτι παρὰ Κυρίου ἐγενήθη αὐτῷ·

И҆ речѐ є҆́й: ты̀ вѣ́си, ꙗ҆́кѡ мнѣ̀ бѣ̀ ца́рство, и҆ на мѧ̀ ве́сь і҆и҃ль положѝ лицѐ своѐ, є҆́же ца́рствовати, и҆ ѡ҆брати́сѧ ца́рство, и҆ бы́сть бра́тꙋ моемꙋ̀, ꙗ҆́кѡ ѿ гдⷭ҇а бы́сть є҆мꙋ̀:

And now I make one request of thee, do not turn away thy face. And Bersabee said to him, Speak [on].

καὶ νῦν αἴτησιν μίαν ἐγὼ αἰτοῦμαι παρὰ σοῦ, μὴ ἀποστρέψῃς τὸ πρόσωπόν σου. καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Βηρσαβεέ· λάλει.

и҆ нн҃ѣ проше́нїѧ є҆ди́нагѡ а҆́зъ прошꙋ̀ ѿ тебє̀, не ѿвратѝ лица̀ своегѡ̀. И҆ речѐ є҆мꙋ̀ вирсаві́а: глаго́ли.

And he said to her, Speak, I pray thee, to king Solomon, for he will not turn away his face from thee, and let him give me Abisag the Somanite for a wife.

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ· εἰπὸν δὴ πρὸς Σαλωμὼν τὸν βασιλέα, ὅτι οὐκ ἀποστρέψει τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ σοῦ, καὶ δώσει μοι τὴν ᾿Αβισὰγ τὴν Σωμανῖτιν εἰς γυναῖκα.

И҆ речѐ къ не́й: рцы̀ къ соломѡ́нꙋ царю̀, ꙗ҆́кѡ не и҆́мать ѿврати́ти лица̀ своегѡ̀ ѿ тебє̀, и҆ дабы̀ мѝ да́лъ а҆вїса́гꙋ сꙋмантѧны́ню въ женꙋ̀.

And Bersabee said, Well; I will speak for thee to the king.

καὶ εἶπε Βηρσαβεέ· καλῶς· ἐγὼ λαλήσω περὶ σοῦ τῷ βασιλεῖ.

И҆ речѐ вирсаві́а: до́брѣ, а҆́зъ и҆́мамъ глаго́лати ѡ҆ тебѣ̀ къ царю̀.

And Bersabee went in to king Solomon to speak to him concerning Adonias; and the king rose up to meet her, and kissed her, and sat on the throne, and a throne was set for the mother of the king, and she sat on his right hand.

καὶ εἰσῆλθε Βηρσαβεὲ πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα Σαλωμὼν λαλῆσαι αὐτῷ περὶ ᾿Αδωνίου. καὶ ἐξανέστη ὁ βασιλεὺς εἰς ἀπαντὴν αὐτῇ καὶ κατεφίλησεν αὐτὴν καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου, καὶ ἐτέθη θρόνος τῇ μητρὶ τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐκ δεξιῶν αὐτοῦ.

И҆ вни́де вирсаві́а пред̾ царѧ̀ соломѡ́на глаго́лати є҆мꙋ̀ ѡ҆ а҆дѡ́нїи. И҆ воста̀ ца́рь на срѣ́тенїе є҆́й, и҆ поклони́сѧ є҆́й, и҆ сѣ́де на престо́лѣ свое́мъ: и҆ поста́виша престо́лъ дрꙋгі́й ма́тери царе́вѣ, и҆ сѣ́де ѡ҆деснꙋ́ю є҆гѡ̀,

And she said to him, I ask of thee one little request; turn not away my face from thee. And the king said to her, Ask, my mother, and I will not reject thee.

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· αἴτησιν μίαν μικρὰν ἐγὼ αἰτοῦμαι παρὰ σοῦ, μὴ ἀποστρέψῃς τὸ πρόσωπόν σου. καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ ὁ βασιλεύς· αἴτησαι, μῆτερ ἐμή, καὶ οὐκ ἀποστρέψω σε.

и҆ речѐ є҆мꙋ̀: проше́нїѧ ма́ла є҆ди́нагѡ а҆́зъ прошꙋ̀ ᲂу҆ тебє̀, не ѿвратѝ лица̀ моегѡ̀. И҆ речѐ къ не́й ца́рь: просѝ, ма́ти моѧ̀, ꙗ҆́кѡ не ѿвращꙋ́сѧ ѿ тебє̀.

And she said, Let, I pray thee, Abisag the Somanite be given to Adonias thy brother to wife.

καὶ εἶπε· δοθήτω δὴ ᾿Αβισὰγ ἡ Σωμανῖτις τῷ ᾿Αδωνίᾳ τῷ ἀδελφῷ σου εἰς γυναῖκα.

И҆ речѐ: да́ждь а҆вїса́гꙋ сꙋмантѧны́ню а҆дѡ́нїи бра́тꙋ твоемꙋ̀ въ женꙋ̀.

And king Solomon answered and said to his mother, And why hast thou asked Abisag for Adonias? ask for him the kingdom also; for he [is] my elder brother, and he has for his companion Abiathar the priest, and Joab the son of Saruia the commander-in-chief.

καὶ ἀπεκρίθη ὁ βασιλεὺς Σαλωμὼν καὶ εἶπε τῇ μητρὶ αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἱνατί σὺ ᾔτησαι τὴν ᾿Αβισὰγ τῷ ᾿Αδωνίᾳ; καὶ αἴτησαι αὐτῷ τὴν βασιλείαν, ὅτι οὗτος ἀδελφός μου ὁ μέγας ὑπὲρ ἐμέ, καὶ αὐτῷ ᾿Αβιάθαρ ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ αὐτῷ ᾿Ιωὰβ υἱὸς Σαρουΐας ἀρχιστράτηγος ἑταῖρος.

И҆ ѿвѣща̀ ца́рь соломѡ́нъ и҆ речѐ ма́тери свое́й: вскꙋ́ю ты̀ про́сиши а҆вїса́ги сꙋмантѧны́ни а҆дѡ́нїи; є҆щѐ просѝ є҆мꙋ̀ и҆ ца́рства, ꙗ҆́кѡ то́й бра́тъ мо́й бо́льшїй менє̀, и҆ є҆мꙋ̀ а҆вїа́ѳаръ і҆ере́й, и҆ є҆мꙋ̀ і҆ѡа́въ сы́нъ сарꙋ́инъ воево́да дрꙋ́гъ.

And king Solomon swore by the Lord, saying, God do so to me, and more also, [if it be not] that Adonias has spoken this word against his own life.

καὶ ὤμοσεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Σαλωμὼν κατὰ τοῦ Κυρίου λέγων· τάδε ποιήσαι μοι ὁ Θεὸς καὶ τάδε προσθείη, ὅτι κατὰ τῆς ψυχῆς αὐτοῦ ἐλάλησεν ᾿Αδωνίας τὸν λόγον τοῦτον·

И҆ клѧ́тсѧ ца́рь соломѡ́нъ гдⷭ҇емъ, глаго́лѧ: сїѧ̑ да сотвори́тъ мнѣ̀ бг҃ъ и҆ сїѧ̑ да приложи́тъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ на дꙋ́шꙋ свою̀ глаго́ла а҆дѡ́нїа сло́во сїѐ:

And now [as] the Lord lives who has established me, and set me on the throne of my father David, and he has made me a house, as the Lord spoke, this day shall Adonias be put to death.

καὶ νῦν ζῇ Κύριος, ὃς ἡτοίμασέ με καὶ ἔθετό με ἐπὶ τὸν θρόνον Δαυὶδ τοῦ πατρός μου, καὶ αὐτὸς ἐποίησέ μοι οἶκον, καθὼς ἐλάλησε Κύριος, ὅτι σήμερον θανατωθήσεται ᾿Αδωνίας.

и҆ нн҃ѣ жи́въ гдⷭ҇ь, и҆́же ᲂу҆гото́ва мѧ̀, и҆ посади́ мѧ на престо́лѣ ѻ҆тца̀ моегѡ̀ даві́да, и҆ то́й сотвори́ ми до́мъ, ꙗ҆́коже гл҃а гдⷭ҇ь, ꙗ҆́кѡ дне́сь ᲂу҆́мретъ а҆дѡ́нїа.

And the king said to Abiathar the priest, Depart thou quickly to Anathoth to thy farm, for thou art worthy of death this day; but I will not slay thee, because thou hast borne the ark of the covenant of the Lord before my father, and because thou was afflicted in all things wherein my father was afflicted.

Καὶ τῷ ᾿Αβιάθαρ τῷ ἱερεῖ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεύς· ἀπότρεχε σὺ εἰς ᾿Αναθὼθ εἰς ἀγρόν σου, ὅτι ἀνὴρ θανάτου εἶ σὺ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ, καὶ οὐ θανατώσω σε, ὅτι ᾖρας τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης Κυρίου ἐνώπιον τοῦ πατρός μου, καὶ ὅτι ἐκακουχήθης ἐν πᾶσιν, οἷς ἐκακουχήθη ὁ πατήρ μου.

И҆ а҆вїа́ѳарꙋ і҆ере́ю речѐ ца́рь: тецы̀ ты̀ во а҆наѳѡ́ѳъ на село̀ твоѐ, ꙗ҆́кѡ мꙋ́жъ сме́рти є҆сѝ ты̀ въ дне́шнїй де́нь, но не ᲂу҆мерщвлю̀ тебѐ, ꙗ҆́кѡ носи́лъ є҆сѝ кївѡ́тъ завѣ́та гдⷭ҇нѧ пред̾ ѻ҆тце́мъ мои́мъ (даві́домъ), и҆ ꙗ҆́кѡ ѡ҆ѕло́бленъ бы́лъ є҆сѝ во всѣ́хъ, и҆́миже ѡ҆ѕло́бленъ бѣ̀ ѻ҆те́цъ мо́й.

And Solomon removed Abiathar from being a priest of the Lord, that the word of the Lord might be fulfilled, which he spoke concerning the house of Heli in Selom.

καὶ ἐξέβαλε Σαλωμὼν τὸν ᾿Αβιάθαρ τοῦ μὴ εἶναι ἱερέα τοῦ Κυρίου, πληρωθῆναι τὸ ρῆμα Κυρίου, ὃ ἐλάλησεν ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον ῾Ηλὶ ἐν Σηλώμ.

И҆ и҆згна̀ соломѡ́нъ а҆вїа́ѳара, є҆́же не бы́ти є҆мꙋ̀ і҆ере́емъ гдⷭ҇нимъ, ꙗ҆́коже сбы́тисѧ словесѝ гдⷭ҇ню, є҆́же гл҃а на до́мъ и҆лі́евъ въ силѡ́мѣ.

And it was told Solomon, saying, Joab has fled to the tabernacle of the Lord, and lo! he has hold of the horns of the altar. And king Solomon sent to Joab, saying, What ails thee, that thou hast fled to the altar and Joab said, Because I was afraid of thee, and fled for refuge to the Lord. And Solomon sent Banaeas son of Jodae, saying, Go and slay him, and bury him.

καὶ ἀπηγγέλη τῷ Σαλωμὼν λέγοντες ὅτι πέφυγεν ᾿Ιωὰβ εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ Κυρίου καὶ ἰδοὺ κατέχει τῶν κεράτων τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου. καὶ ἀπέστειλε Σαλωμὼν ὁ βασιλεὺς πρὸς ᾿Ιωὰβ λέγων· τί γέγονέ σοι, ὅτι πέφυγας εἰς τὸ θυσιαστήριον; καὶ εἶπεν ᾿Ιωάβ· ὅτι ἐφοβήθην ἀπὸ προσώπου σου, καὶ ἔφυγον πρὸς Κύριον. καὶ ἀπέστειλε Σαλωμὼν τὸν Βαναίου υἱὸν ᾿Ιωδαὲ λέγων· πορεύου καὶ ἄνελε αὐτὸν καὶ θάψον αὐτόν.

И҆ возвѣсти́ша соломѡ́нꙋ, глаго́люще: ꙗ҆́кѡ бѣжа̀ і҆ѡа́въ въ ски́нїю гдⷭ҇ню, и҆ сѐ, держи́тсѧ рогѡ́въ ѻ҆лтаре́выхъ. И҆ посла̀ ца́рь соломѡ́нъ ко і҆ѡа́вꙋ, глаго́лѧ: что́ ти бы́сть, ꙗ҆́кѡ ᲂу҆бѣжа́лъ є҆сѝ во ѻ҆лта́рь; И҆ речѐ і҆ѡа́въ: ꙗ҆́кѡ ᲂу҆боѧ́хсѧ ѿ лица̀ твоегѡ̀, и҆ бѣжа́хъ ко гдⷭ҇ꙋ. И҆ посла̀ соломѡ́нъ ване́а сы́на і҆ѡда́ева, глаго́лѧ: и҆дѝ, и҆ ᲂу҆бі́й є҆го̀, и҆ погребѝ є҆го̀.

And Banaeas son of Jodae came to Joab to the tabernacle of the Lord, and said to him, Thus says the king, Come forth. And Joab said, I will not come forth, for I will die here. And Banaeas son of Jodae returned and spoke to the king, saying, Thus has Joab spoken, and thus has he answered me.

καὶ ἦλθε Βαναίας υἱὸς ᾿Ιωδαὲ πρὸς ᾿Ιωὰβ εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ Κυρίου καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· τάδε λέγει ὁ βασιλεύς· ἔξελθε. καὶ εἶπεν ᾿Ιωάβ· οὐκ ἐκπορεύομαι, ὅτι ὧδε ἀποθανοῦμαι. καὶ ἐπέστρεψε Βαναίας υἱὸς ᾿Ιωδαὲ καὶ εἶπε τῷ βασιλεῖ λέγων· τάδε λελάληκεν ᾿Ιωὰβ καὶ τάδε ἀποκέκριταί μοι.

И҆ прїи́де ване́а сы́нъ і҆ѡда́евъ ко і҆ѡа́вꙋ въ ски́нїю гдⷭ҇ню, и҆ речѐ є҆мꙋ̀: сїѧ̑ глаго́летъ ца́рь: и҆зы́ди. И҆ речѐ і҆ѡа́въ: не и҆зы́дꙋ, но да здѣ̀ ᲂу҆мрꙋ̀. И҆ возврати́сѧ ване́а сы́нъ і҆ѡда́евъ и҆ речѐ царю̀, глаго́лѧ: сїѧ̑ глаго́ла і҆ѡа́въ и҆ сїѧ̑ ѿвѣща̀ мнѣ̀.

And the king said to him, Go, and do to him as he has spoken, and kill him: and thou shalt bury him, and thou shalt remove this day the blood which he shed without cause, from me and from the house of my father.

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ βασιλεύς· πορεύου καὶ ποίησον αὐτῷ καθὼς εἴρηκε, καὶ ἄνελε αὐτὸν καὶ θάψεις αὐτὸν καὶ ἐξαρεῖς σήμερον τὸ αἷμα, ὃ δωρεὰν ἐξέχεεν ἀπ᾿ ἐμοῦ καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ πατρός μου·

И҆ речѐ є҆мꙋ̀ ца́рь: и҆дѝ и҆ сотворѝ є҆мꙋ̀, ꙗ҆́коже речѐ, и҆ ᲂу҆бі́й є҆го̀, и҆ погребѝ є҆го̀, и҆ ѿимѝ дне́сь кро́вь, ю҆́же тꙋ́не пролїѧ̀ і҆ѡа́въ, ѿ менє̀ и҆ ѿ до́мꙋ ѻ҆тца̀ моегѡ̀:

And the Lord has returned upon his own head the blood of his unrighteousness, inasmuch as he attacked two men more righteous and better than himself, and slew them with the sword, and my father David knew not of their blood, [even] Abenner the son of Ner the commander-in-chief of Israel, and Amessa the son of Jether the commander-in-chief of Juda.

καὶ ἐπέστρεψε Κύριος τὸ αἷμα τῆς ἀδικίας αὐτοῦ εἰς κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ, ὡς ἀπήντησε τοῖς δυσὶν ἀνθρώποις τοῖς δικαίοις καὶ ἀγαθοῖς ὑπὲρ αὐτὸν καὶ ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτοὺς ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ, καὶ ὁ πατήρ μου Δαυὶδ οὐκ ἔγνω τὸ αἷμα αὐτῶν, τὸν ᾿Αβεννὴρ υἱὸν Νὴρ ἀρχιστράτηγον ᾿Ισραὴλ καὶ τὸν ᾿Αμεσσὰ υἱὸν ᾿Ιεθὲρ ἀρχιστράτηγον ᾿Ιούδα·

и҆ возвратѝ гдⷭ҇ь кро́вь непра́вды є҆гѡ̀ на главꙋ̀ є҆гѡ̀, ꙗ҆́коже нападѐ на два̀ мꙋ̑жа пра́вєдна и҆ бла̑га па́че є҆гѡ̀, и҆ ᲂу҆бѝ и҆̀хъ ѻ҆рꙋ́жїемъ: и҆ ѻ҆те́цъ мо́й даві́дъ не разꙋмѣ̀ кро́ве и҆́хъ, а҆вени́ра сы́на ни́рова, воево́дꙋ і҆и҃лева, и҆ а҆месса́ѧ сы́на і҆еѳе́рова, воево́дꙋ і҆ꙋ́дина:

And their blood is returned upon his head, and upon the head of his seed for ever: but to David, and his seed, and his house, and his throne, may there be peace for ever from the Lord.

καὶ ἐπεστράφη τὰ αἵματα αὐτῶν εἰς κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ εἰς κεφαλὴν τοῦ σπέρματος αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, καὶ τῷ Δαυὶδ καὶ τῷ σπέρματι αὐτοῦ καὶ τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ καὶ τῷ θρόνῳ αὐτοῦ γένοιτο εἰρήνη ἕως αἰῶνος παρὰ Κυρίου.

и҆ возврати́сѧ кро́вь и҆́хъ на главꙋ̀ є҆гѡ̀ и҆ на главꙋ̀ сѣ́мене є҆гѡ̀ во вѣ́ки: даві́дꙋ же и҆ сѣ́мени є҆гѡ̀, и҆ до́мꙋ є҆гѡ̀, и҆ престо́лꙋ є҆гѡ̀ ми́ръ да бꙋ́детъ до вѣ́ка ѿ гдⷭ҇а.

So Banaeas son of Jodae went up, and attacked him, and slew him, and buried him in his house in the wilderness.

καὶ ἀνέβη Βαναίας υἱὸς ᾿Ιωδαὲ καὶ ἀπήντησε αὐτῷ καὶ ἐθανάτωσεν αὐτὸν καὶ ἔθαψεν αὐτὸν ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ.

И҆ взы́де ване́а сы́нъ і҆ѡда́евъ и҆ нападѐ на него̀, и҆ ᲂу҆бѝ є҆го̀, и҆ погребѐ є҆го̀ въ домꙋ̀ є҆гѡ̀ въ пꙋсты́ни.

And the king appointed Banaeas son of Jodae in his place over the host; and the kingdom was established in Jerusalem; and [as for] Sadoc the priest, the king appointed him to be high priest in the room of Abiathar. 35α [And Solomon son of David reigned over Israel and Juda in Jerusalem:] and the Lord gave understanding to Solomon, and very much wisdom, and largeness of heart, as the sand by the sea-shore. [See Appendix ] 35β And the wisdom of Solomon abounded exceedingly beyond the wisdom of all the ancients, and beyond all the wise men of Egypt: 35γ and he took the daughter of Pharao, and brought her into the city of David, until he had finished building his own house, and the house of the Lord first, and the wall of Jerusalem round about. In seven years he made and finished them. 35δ And Solomon had seventy thousand bearers of burdens, and eight thousand hewers of stone in the mountain: 35ε and Solomon made the sea, and the bases, and the great lavers, and the pillars, and the fountain of the court, and the brazen sea- 35ζ and he built the citadel as a defence above it, he made a breach in the wall of the city of David: thus the daughter of Pharao went up out of the city of David to her house which he built for her. Then he built the citadel: 35η and Solomon offered up three whole-burnt-offerings in the year, and peace-offerings on the altar which he built to the Lord, and he burnt incense before the Lord, and finished the house. 35θ And these are the chief persons who presided over the works of Solomon; three thousand and six hundred masters of the people that wrought the works. 35ι And he built Assur, and Magdo, and Gazer, and upper Baethoron, and Ballath: 35κ only after he had built the house of the Lord, and the wall of Jerusalem round about, afterwards he built these cities. 35λ And when David was yet living, he charged Solomon, saying, Behold, there is with thee Semei the son of Gera, of the seed of Benjamin out of Chebron: 35μ he cursed me with a grievous curse in the day when I went into the Camp; 35ν and he came down to meet me at Jordan, and I swore to him by the Lord, saying, He shall not be slain with the sword. 35ξ But now do not thou hold him guiltless, for thou art a man of understanding, and thou wilt know what thou shalt do to him, and thou shalt bring down his grey hairs with blood to the grave.

ξ καὶ νῦν μὴ ἀθωώσῃς αὐτόν, ὅτι ἀνὴρ φρόνιμος σὺ καὶ γνώσῃ ἃ ποιήσεις αὐτῷ, καὶ κατάξεις τὴν πολιὰν αὐτοῦ ἐν αἵματι εἰς ᾅδου.

И҆ поста́ви ца́рь соломѡ́нъ ване́а сы́на і҆ѡда́ева вмѣ́стѡ є҆гѡ̀ над̾ во́инствомъ: ца́рство же ᲂу҆правлѧ́шесѧ во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мѣ. И҆ садѡ́ка і҆ере́а дадѐ соломѡ́нъ ца́рь во і҆ере́а пе́рваго вмѣ́стѡ а҆вїа́ѳара. И҆ дадѐ гдⷭ҇ь смы́слъ соломѡ́нꙋ и҆ премꙋ́дрость мно́гꙋ ѕѣлѡ̀, и҆ широтꙋ̀ се́рдца, ꙗ҆́коже песо́къ и҆́же при мо́ри: и҆ и҆спо́лнисѧ ра́зꙋма соломѡ́нъ па́че ра́зꙋма всѣ́хъ дре́внихъ сынѡ́въ и҆ па́че всѣ́хъ мꙋ́дрыхъ є҆гѵ́петскихъ. И҆ поѧ́тъ дще́рь фараѡ́ню, и҆ введѐ ю҆̀ во гра́дъ даві́довъ, до́ндеже сконча̀ себѣ̀ зда́ти до́мъ сво́й, и҆ до́мъ гдⷭ҇ень въ пе́рвыхъ, и҆ стѣ́нꙋ і҆ерⷭ҇ли́ма ѡ҆́крестъ: въ се́дмь лѣ́тъ сотворѝ и҆ сконча̀. И҆ бѧ́ше ᲂу҆ соломѡ́на се́дмьдесѧтъ ты́сѧщъ (мꙋже́й) носѧ́щихъ бремена̀, и҆ ѻ҆́смьдесѧтъ ты́сѧщъ каменосѣ́чцєвъ въ горѣ̀. И҆ сотворѝ соломѡ́нъ мо́ре, и҆ подкрѣплє́нїѧ, и҆ ба̑ни вели̑кїѧ, и҆ столпы̀, и҆ и҆сто́чникъ дво́рный, и҆ мо́ре мѣ́дѧное: и҆ созда̀ краегра́дїе, и҆ забра̑ла над̾ ни́мъ, и҆ разсѣчѐ гра́дъ даві́довъ. Та́кѡ дщѝ фараѡ́нѧ пре́йде ѿ гра́да даві́дова въ до́мъ сво́й, є҆го́же созда̀ є҆́й: тогда̀ созда̀ краегра́дїе. И҆ соломѡ́нъ возноша́ше три́жды въ лѣ́то всесожжє́нїѧ и҆ ми̑рнаѧ на ѻ҆лта́рь, є҆го́же созда̀ гдⷭ҇еви, и҆ кадѧ́ше пред̾ гдⷭ҇емъ, и҆ совершѝ до́мъ. И҆ сі́и старѣ̑йшины приста́влени над̾ дѣла́ми соломѡ́ними, трѝ ты́сѧщы и҆ ше́сть сѡ́тъ приста̑вникъ за людьмѝ дѣ́лающими дѣ́ло. И҆ созда̀ а҆ссꙋ́ръ, и҆ магдѡ́нъ и҆ газе́ръ, и҆ веѳѡрѡ́нъ вы́шнїй и҆ валала́ѳъ: ѻ҆ба́че по созда́нїи до́мꙋ гдⷭ҇нѧ и҆ стѣны̀ і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мскїѧ ѡ҆́крестъ, по си́хъ созда̀ гра́ды сїѧ̑. И҆ є҆щѐ жи́въ сы́й даві́дъ, заповѣ́да соломѡ́нꙋ глаго́лѧ: сѐ, съ тобо́ю семе́й сы́нъ гира́нь, сы́нъ сѣ́мене і҆емені́ина, ѿ хеврѡ́на: се́й клѧ́ше мѧ̀ клѧ́твою ᲂу҆кори́зненною, въ де́нь во́ньже и҆до́хъ въ полкѝ: и҆ то́й сни́де въ срѣ́тенїе мѝ на і҆ѻрда́нъ, и҆ клѧ́хсѧ є҆мꙋ̀ гдⷭ҇емъ, глаго́лѧ, ꙗ҆́кѡ не ᲂу҆мерщвлю̀ є҆го̀ ѻ҆рꙋ́жїемъ: и҆ нн҃ѣ да не ѡ҆безвини́ши є҆го̀, ꙗ҆́кѡ мꙋ́жъ смы́сленъ є҆сѝ ты̀, и҆ разꙋмѣ́еши ꙗ҆̀же сотвори́ши є҆мꙋ̀, и҆ сведе́ши ста́рость є҆гѡ̀ съ кро́вїю во а҆́дъ.

And the king called Semei, and said to him, Build thee a house in Jerusalem, and dwell there, and thou shalt not go out thence any whither.

Καὶ ἐκάλεσεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τὸν Σεμεῒ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· οἰκοδόμησον σεαυτῷ οἶκον ἐν ῾Ιερουσαλὴμ καὶ κάθου ἐκεῖ καὶ οὐκ ἐξελεύσῃ ἐκεῖθεν οὐδαμοῦ·

И҆ посла́въ ца́рь соломѡ́нъ, призва̀ семе́а и҆ речѐ є҆мꙋ̀: сози́жди себѣ̀ до́мъ во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мѣ и҆ сѣдѝ та́мѡ, и҆ не и҆сходѝ ѿтꙋ́дꙋ ника́може:

And it shall come to pass in the day that thou shalt go forth and cross over the brook Kedron, know assuredly that thou shalt certainly die: thy blood shall be upon thine head. And the king caused him to swear in that day.

καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῆς ἐξόδου σου καὶ διαβήσῃ τὸν χειμάρρουν Κέδρων, γινώσκων γνώσῃ ὅτι θανάτῳ ἀποθανῇ, τὸ αἷμά σου ἔσται ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλήν σου. καὶ ὥρκισεν αὐτὸν ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ.

и҆ бꙋ́детъ въ де́нь и҆схо́да твоегѡ̀, и҆ пре́йдеши пото́къ ке́дрскїй, разꙋмѣ́ѧ разꙋмѣ́й, ꙗ҆́кѡ сме́ртїю ᲂу҆́мреши: кро́вь твоѧ̀ бꙋ́детъ на главѣ̀ твое́й. И҆ заклѧ́тъ є҆го̀ ца́рь въ де́нь то́й.

And Semei said to the king, Good [is] the word that thou hast spoken, my lord O king: thus will thy servant do. And Semei dwelt in Jerusalem three years.

καὶ εἶπε Σεμεῒ πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα· ἀγαθὸν τὸ ῥῆμα, ὃ ἐλάλησας, κύριέ μου βασιλεῦ· οὕτω ποιήσει ὁ δοῦλός σου. καὶ ἐκάθισε Σεμεῒ ἐν ῾Ιερουσαλὴμ τρία ἔτη.

И҆ речѐ семе́й къ царю̀: бла́гъ глаго́лъ, є҆го́же глаго́лалъ є҆сѝ, го́споди мо́й царю̀: та́кѡ сотвори́тъ ра́бъ тво́й. И҆ сѣ́де семе́й во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мѣ трѝ лѣ̑та.

And it came to pass after the three years, that two servants of Semei ran away to Anchus son of Maacha king of Geth: and it was told Semei, saying, Behold, thy servants [are] in Geth.

καὶ ἐγενήθη μετὰ τὰ τρία ἔτη καὶ ἀπέδρασαν δύο δοῦλοι τοῦ Σεμεῒ πρὸς ᾿Αγχοὺς υἱὸν Μααχὰ βασιλέα Γέθ, καὶ ἀπηγγέλη τῷ Σεμεῒ λέγοντες· ἰδοὺ οἱ δοῦλοί σου ἐν Γέθ.

И҆ бы́сть по трїе́хъ лѣ́тѣхъ, и҆ бѣжа́ста два̀ раба̑ семє́ина ко а҆гхꙋ́сꙋ сы́нꙋ мааха́инꙋ, царю̀ ге́ѳскꙋ. И҆ возвѣсти́ша семе́ю, глаго́люще: сѐ, рабѝ твоѝ во ге́ѳѣ.

And Semei rose up, and saddled his ass, and went to Geth to Anchus to seek out his servants: and Semei went, and brought his servants out of Geth.

καὶ ἀνέστη Σεμεῒ καὶ ἐπέσαξε τὴν ὄνον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπορεύθη εἰς Γὲθ πρὸς ᾿Αγχοὺς τοῦ ἐκζητῆσαι τοὺ δούλους αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐπορεύθη Σεμεῒ καὶ ἤγαγε τοὺς δούλους αὐτοῦ ἐκ Γέθ.

И҆ воста̀ семе́й, и҆ ѡ҆сѣдла̀ ѻ҆слѧ̀ своѐ, и҆ и҆́де во ге́ѳъ ко а҆гхꙋ́сꙋ взыска́ти рабы̑ своѧ̑: и҆ по́йде семе́й, и҆ приведѐ рабы̑ своѧ̑ ѿ ге́ѳа.

And it was told Solomon, saying, Semei is gone out of Jerusalem to Geth, and has brought back his servants.

καὶ ἀπηγγέλη τῷ Σαλωμὼν λέγοντες ὅτι ἐπορεύθη Σεμεῒ ἐξ ῾Ιερουσαλὴμ εἰς Γέθ, καὶ ἀπέστρεψε τοὺς δούλους αὐτοῦ,

И҆ возвѣсти́ша соломѡ́нꙋ, глаго́люще: ꙗ҆́кѡ семе́й ходѝ и҆з̾ і҆ерⷭ҇ли́ма въ ге́ѳъ и҆ возвратѝ рабы̑ своѧ̑.

And the king sent and called Semei, and said to him, Did I not adjure thee by the Lord, and testify to thee, saying, In whatsoever day thou shalt go out of Jerusalem, and go to the right or left, know certainly that thou shalt assuredly die?

καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ ἐκάλεσε τὸν Σεμεῒ καὶ εἶπε πρὸς αὐτόν· οὐχὶ ὥρκισά σε κατὰ τοῦ Κυρίου καὶ ἐπεμαρτυράμην σοι λέγων· ἐν ᾗ ἂν ἡμέρᾳ ἐξέλθῃς ἐξ ῾Ιερουσαλὴμ καὶ πορευθῇς εἰς δεξιὰ ἢ ἀριστερά, γινώσκων γνώσῃ ὅτι θανάτῳ ἀποθανῇ;

И҆ посла̀ ца́рь и҆ призва̀ семе́а и҆ речѐ къ немꙋ̀: не заклѧ́хъ ли тѧ̀ гдⷭ҇емъ, и҆ засвидѣ́тельствовахъ тебѣ̀, глаго́лѧ: во́ньже а҆́ще де́нь и҆зы́деши и҆з̾ і҆ерⷭ҇ли́ма и҆ по́йдеши на де́сно и҆лѝ на шꙋ́ее, разꙋмѣ́ѧ разꙋмѣ́й, ꙗ҆́кѡ сме́ртїю ᲂу҆́мреши; и҆ ре́клъ мѝ є҆сѝ: бла́гъ глаго́лъ, є҆го́же слы́шахъ:

And why hast thou not kept the oath of the Lord, and the commandment which I commanded thee?

καὶ τί ὅτι οὐκ ἐφύλαξας τὸν ὅρκον Κυρίου καὶ τὴν ἐντολήν, ἣν ἐνετειλάμην κατὰ σοῦ;

и҆ что̀ ꙗ҆́кѡ не сохрани́лъ є҆сѝ клѧ́твы гдⷭ҇ни и҆ за́повѣди, ю҆́же заповѣ́дахъ на тѧ̀;

And king Solomon [is] blessed, and the throne of David shall be established before the Lord for ever.

καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς Σαλωμὼν εὐλογημένος, καὶ ὁ θρόνος Δαυὶδ ἔσται ἕτοιμος ἐνώπιον Κυρίου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα.

и҆ ца́рь соломѡ́нъ благослове́нъ, и҆ престо́лъ даві́довъ бꙋ́детъ гото́въ пред̾ гдⷭ҇емъ во вѣ́ки.

And Solomon commanded Banaeas the son of Jodae, and he went forth and slew him. 46α And king Solomon was very prudent and wise: and Juda and Israel [were] very many, as the sand which is by the sea for multitude, eating, and drinking, and rejoicing: 46β and Solomon was chief in all the kingdoms, and they brought gifts, and served Solomon all the days of his life. 46γ And Solomon began to open the domains of Libanus, 46δ and he built Thermae in the wilderness. 46ε And this was the daily provision of Solomon, thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of ground meal, ten choice calves, and twenty oxen from the pastures, and a hundred sheep, besides stags, and does, and choice fed birds. 46ζ For he ruled in all the country on this side the river, from Raphi unto Gaza, over all the kings on this side the river: 46η and he was at peace on all sides round about; and Juda and Israel dwelt safely, every one under his vine and under his fig tree, eating and drinking and feasting, from Dan even to Bersabee, all the days of Solomon. 46θ And these [were] the princes of Solomon; Azariu son of Sadoc the priest, and Orniu son of Nathan chief of the officers, and Edram* over his house; and Suba the scribe, and Basa son of Achithalam recorder, and Abi son of Joab commander-in-chief, and Achire son of Edrai [was] over the levies, and Banaeas son of Jodae over the household and over the brickwork, and Zachur the son of Nathan [was] counsellor. 46ι And Solomon had forty thousand brood mares for his chariots, and twelve thousand horses. 46κ And he reigned over all the kings from the river and to the land of the Philistines, and to the borders of Egypt: 46λ so Solomon the son of David reigned over Israel and Juda in Jerusalem.
