1 Chronicles 20

And it came to pass at the return of the year, at the [time of the] going forth of kings [to war], that Joab gathered the whole force of the army, and they ravaged the land of the children of Ammon; and he came and besieged Rabba. But David abode in Jerusalem. And Joab smote Rabba and destroyed it.

ΚΑΙ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἐπιόντι ἔτει ἐν τῇ ἐξόδῳ τῶν βασιλέων καὶ ἤγαγεν ᾿Ιωὰβ πᾶσαν τὴν δύναμιν τῆς στρατιᾶς, καὶ ἔφθειραν τὴν χώραν υἱῶν ᾿Αμμών· καὶ ἦλθε καὶ περιεκάθισε τὴν Ῥαββά· καὶ Δαυὶδ ἐκάθισεν ἐν ῾Ιερουσαλήμ· καὶ ἐπάταξεν ᾿Ιωὰβ τὴν Ῥαββὰ καὶ κατέσκαψεν αὐτήν.

И҆ бы́сть въ находѧ́щее лѣ́то во вре́мѧ и҆схожде́нїѧ царе́й (ко бра́ни), и҆ собра̀ і҆ѡа́въ всю̀ си́лꙋ во́инства, и҆ ѡ҆пꙋстошѝ зе́млю сынѡ́въ а҆ммѡ́нихъ: прїидо́ша же и҆ ѡ҆бсѣдо́ша равва́ѳъ. Даві́дъ же пребыва́ше во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мѣ: і҆ѡа́въ же поразѝ равва́ѳъ и҆ разорѝ є҆го̀.

And David took the crown of Molchom their king off his head, and the weight of it was found [to be] a talent of gold, and on it were precious stones; and it was [placed] on the head of David: and he brought out the spoils of the city [which were] very great.

καὶ ἔλαβε Δαυὶδ τὸν στέφανον Μολχὸμ τοῦ βασιλέως αὐτῶν ἀπὸ τῆς κεφαλῆς αὐτοῦ, καὶ εὑρέθη ὁ σταθμὸς αὐτοῦ τάλαντον χρυσίου, καὶ ἐν αὐτῷ λίθος τίμιος, καὶ ἦν ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν Δαυίδ· καὶ σκῦλα τῆς πόλεως ἐξήνεγκε πολλὰ σφόδρα.

Взѧ́ же даві́дъ вѣне́цъ молхо́ма царѧ̀ и҆́хъ ѿ главы̀ є҆гѡ̀, и҆ ѡ҆брѣ́тесѧ вѣ́съ въ не́мъ тала́нтъ зла́та, и҆ въ не́мъ ка́мень драгі́й, и҆ бѣ̀ на главѣ̀ даві́довѣ: плѣ́ны же гра̑дски взѧ̀ мнѡ́ги ѕѣлѡ̀,

And he brought out the people that were in it, and sawed them asunder with saws, and [cut them] with iron axes, and with harrows: and thus David did to all the children of Ammon. And David and all his people returned to Jerusalem.

καὶ τὸν λαὸν τὸν ἐν αὐτῇ ἐξήγαγε καὶ διέπρισε πρίοσι καὶ ἐν σκεπάρνοις σιδηροῖς καὶ ἐν διασχίζουσι· καὶ οὕτως ἐποίησε Δαυὶδ τοῖς πᾶσιν υἱοῖς ᾿Αμμών. καὶ ἀνέστρεψε Δαυὶδ καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς αὐτοῦ εἰς ῾Ιερουσαλήμ.

и҆ люді́й сꙋ́щихъ въ не́мъ и҆зведѐ и҆ претрѐ пила́ми и҆ ѻ҆рꙋ̑дїи желѣ́зными и҆ разсѣца́ющими: та́кѡ сотворѝ даві́дъ всѣ̑мъ градѡ́мъ сынѡ́въ а҆ммѡ́нихъ, и҆ возврати́сѧ даві́дъ и҆ всѝ лю́дїе є҆гѡ̀ во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мъ.

And it came to pass afterward that there was again war with the Philistines in Gazer: then Sobochai the Sosathite smote Saphut of the sons of the giants, and laid him low.

καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ ταῦτα καὶ ἐγένετο ἔτι πόλεμος ἐν Γαζὲρ μετὰ τῶν ἀλλοφύλων. τότε ἐπάταξε Σοβοχαὶ ὁ Οὐσαθὶ τὸν Σαφοὺ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν τῶν γιγάντων, καὶ ἐταπείνωσεν αὐτόν.

И҆ бы́сть по се́мъ, и҆ нача́сѧ є҆щѐ бра́нь въ газе́рѣ со и҆ноплемє́нники: тогда̀ поразѝ совоха́й ᲂу҆саѳі́тѧнинъ сафꙋ́та ѿ сынѡ́въ и҆споли́новыхъ и҆ смирѝ є҆го̀.

And there [was] war again with the Philistines; and Eleanan the son of Jair smote Lachmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, and the wood of his spear [was] as a weavers’ beam.

καὶ ἐγένετο ἔτι πόλεμος μετὰ τῶν ἀλλοφύλων. καὶ ἐπάταξεν ᾿Ελλανὰν υἱὸς ᾿Ιαΐρ τὸν Λαχμὶ ἀδελφὸν Γολιὰθ τοῦ Γεθθαίου, καὶ ξύλον δόρατος αὐτοῦ ὡς ἀντίον ὑφαινόντων.

И҆ бы́сть є҆щѐ бра́нь проти́вꙋ и҆ноплемє́нникъ, и҆ поразѝ є҆леана́нъ сы́нъ і҆аі́ровъ лаѡмі́а, бра́та голїа́ѳа геѳе́йскагѡ, є҆мꙋ́же дре́во копїѧ̀ є҆гѡ̀ ꙗ҆́кѡ наво́й ткꙋ́щихъ.

And there was again war in Geth, and there was a man of extraordinary size, and his fingers [and toes were] six on each hand and foot, four and twenty; and he was descended from the giants.

καὶ ἐγένετο ἔτι πόλεμος ἐν Γέθ, καὶ ἦν ἀνὴρ ὑπερμεγέθης, καὶ δάκτυλοι αὐτοῦ ἓξ καὶ ἕξ, εἰκοσιτέσσαρες, καὶ οὗτος ἦν ἀπόγονος γιγάντων.

И҆ бы́сть є҆щѐ бра́нь въ ге́ѳѣ, и҆ бѣ̀ мꙋ́жъ ѕѣлѡ̀ вели́къ, по шестѝ и҆мѣ́ющь пе́рстѡвъ, всѣ́хъ два́десѧть четы́ре, и҆ се́й бѣ̀ ѿ колѣ́на и҆споли́нѡвъ,

And he defied Israel, and Jonathan the son of Samaa the brother of David slew him.

καὶ ὠνείδισε τὸν ᾿Ισραήλ, καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτὸν ᾿Ιωνάθαν υἱὸς Σαμαὰ ἀδελφοῦ Δαυίδ.

и҆ поносѝ і҆и҃лѧ: и҆ поразѝ є҆го̀ і҆ѡнаѳа́нъ сы́нъ самма́а бра́та даві́дова.

These were born to Rapha in Geth; all four were giants, and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.

οὗτοι ἐγένοντο Ῥαφὰ ἐν Γέθ· πάντες ἦσαν τέσσαρες γίγαντες, καὶ ἔπεσον ἐν χειρὶ Δαυὶδ καὶ ἐν χειρὶ παίδων αὐτοῦ.

Сі́и роди́шасѧ рафа́ю въ ге́ѳѣ, всѣ́хъ и҆́хъ бѣ̀ четы́ри и҆споли́ны, и҆ падо́ша рꙋко́ю даві́довою и҆ рꙋко́ю рабѡ́въ є҆гѡ̀.
