1

THEREFORE being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Δικαιωθέντες οὖν ἐκ πίστεως εἰρήνην ἔχομεν πρὸς τὸν Θεὸν διὰ τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ,

[Заⷱ҇ 88] Ѡ҆правди́вшесѧ ᲂу҆̀бо вѣ́рою, ми́ръ и҆́мамы къ бг҃ꙋ гдⷭ҇емъ на́шимъ і҆и҃съ хрⷭ҇то́мъ,

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

δι᾿ οὗ καὶ τὴν προσαγωγὴν ἐσχήκαμεν τῇ πίστει εἰς τὴν χάριν ταύτην ἐν ἑστήκαμεν, καὶ καυχώμεθα ἐπ᾿ ἐλπίδι τῆς δόξης τοῦ Θεοῦ.

и҆́мже и҆ приведе́нїе ѡ҆брѣто́хомъ вѣ́рою во блгⷣть сїю̀, въ не́йже стои́мъ, и҆ хва́лимсѧ ᲂу҆пова́нїемъ сла́вы бж҃їѧ.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

οὐ μόνον δέ, ἀλλὰ καὶ καυχώμεθα ἐν ταῖς θλίψεσιν, εἰδότες ὅτι θλῖψις ὑπομονὴν κατεργάζεται,

Не то́чїю же, но и҆ хва́лимсѧ въ ско́рбехъ, вѣ́дѧще, ꙗ҆́кѡ ско́рбь терпѣ́нїе содѣ́ловаетъ,

And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

δὲ ὑπομονὴ δοκιμήν, δὲ δοκιμὴ ἐλπίδα,

терпѣ́нїе же и҆скꙋ́сство, и҆скꙋ́сство же ᲂу҆пова́нїе:

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

δὲ ἐλπὶς οὐ καταισχύνει, ὅτι ἀγάπη τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐκκέχυται ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ἡμῶν διὰ Πνεύματος Ἁγίου τοῦ δοθέντος ἡμῖν.

ᲂу҆пова́нїе же не посрами́тъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ любы̀ бж҃їѧ и҆злїѧ́сѧ въ сердца̀ на̑ша дх҃омъ ст҃ы́мъ да́ннымъ на́мъ.

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

Ἔτι γὰρ Χριστὸς ὄντων ἡμῶν ἀσθενῶν κατὰ καιρὸν ὑπὲρ ἀσεβῶν ἀπέθανε.

Є҆ще́ бо хрⷭ҇то́съ сꙋ́щымъ на́мъ немощны̑мъ, по вре́мени за нечести́выхъ ᲂу҆́мре.

For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

μόλις γὰρ ὑπὲρ δικαίου τις ἀποθανεῖται· ὑπὲρ γὰρ τοῦ ἀγαθοῦ τάχα τις καὶ τολμᾷ ἀποθανεῖν.

Є҆два́ бо за првⷣника кто̀ ᲂу҆́мретъ: за бл҃га́го бо не́гли кто̀ и҆ де́рзнетъ ᲂу҆мре́ти.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

συνίστησι δὲ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ἀγάπην εἰς ἡμᾶς Θεός, ὅτι ἔτι ἁμαρτωλῶν ὄντων ἡμῶν Χριστὸς ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν ἀπέθανε.

Составлѧ́етъ же свою̀ любо́вь къ на́мъ бг҃ъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ, є҆щѐ грѣ́шникѡмъ сꙋ́щымъ на́мъ, хрⷭ҇то́съ за ны̀ ᲂу҆́мре.

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

πολλῷ οὖν μᾶλλον δικαιωθέντες νῦν ἐν τῷ αἵματι αὐτοῦ σωθησόμεθα δι᾿ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τῆς ὀργῆς.

Мно́гѡ ᲂу҆̀бо па́че, ѡ҆правда́ни бы́вше нн҃ѣ кро́вїю є҆гѡ̀, спасе́мсѧ и҆́мъ ѿ гнѣ́ва.

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

εἰ γὰρ ἐχθροὶ ὄντες κατηλλάγημεν τῷ Θεῷ διὰ τοῦ θανάτου τοῦ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ, πολλῷ μᾶλλον καταλλαγέντες σωθησόμεθα ἐν τῇ ζωῇ αὐτοῦ·

[Заⷱ҇ 89] А҆́ще бо вразѝ бы́вше примири́хомсѧ бг҃ꙋ сме́ртїю сн҃а є҆гѡ̀, мно́жае па́че примири́вшесѧ спасе́мсѧ въ животѣ̀ є҆гѡ̀:

And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

οὐ μόνον δέ, ἀλλὰ καὶ καυχώμενοι ἐν τῷ Θεῷ διὰ τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, δι᾿ οὗ νῦν τὴν καταλλαγὴν ἐλάβομεν.

не то́чїю же, но и҆ хва́лимсѧ ѡ҆ бз҃ѣ гдⷭ҇емъ на́шимъ і҆и҃съ хрⷭ҇то́мъ, и҆́мже нн҃ѣ примире́нїе прїѧ́хомъ.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Διὰ τοῦτο ὥσπερ δι᾿ ἑνὸς ἀνθρώπου ἁμαρτία εἰς τὸν κόσμον εἰσῆλθε καὶ διὰ τῆς ἁμαρτίας θάνατος, καὶ οὕτως εἰς πάντας ἀνθρώπους θάνατος διῆλθεν, ἐφ᾿ πάντες ἥμαρτον·—

Сегѡ̀ ра́ди ꙗ҆́коже є҆ди́нѣмъ человѣ́комъ грѣ́хъ въ мі́ръ вни́де и҆ грѣхо́мъ сме́рть, и҆ та́кѡ сме́рть во всѧ̑ человѣ́ки вни́де, въ не́мже всѝ согрѣши́ша.

(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

ἄχρι γὰρ νόμου ἁμαρτία ἦν ἐν κόσμῳ, ἁμαρτία δὲ οὐκ ἐλλογεῖται μὴ ὄντος νόμου·

До зако́на бо грѣ́хъ бѣ̀ въ мі́рѣ: грѣ́хъ же не вмѣнѧ́шесѧ, не сꙋ́щꙋ зако́нꙋ.

Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

ἀλλ᾿ ἐβασίλευσεν θάνατος ἀπὸ Ἀδὰμ μέχρι Μωϋσέως καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς μὴ ἁμαρτήσαντας ἐπὶ τῷ ὁμοιώματι τῆς παραβάσεως Ἀδάμ, ὅς ἐστι τύπος τοῦ μέλλοντος.

Но ца́рствова сме́рть ѿ а҆да́ма да́же до мѡѷсе́а и҆ над̾ несогрѣши́вшими по подо́бїю престꙋпле́нїѧ а҆да́мова, и҆́же є҆́сть ѡ҆́бразъ бꙋ́дꙋщагѡ.

But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

Ἀλλ᾿ οὐχ ὡς τὸ παράπτωμα, οὕτω καὶ τὸ χάρισμα. εἰ γὰρ τῷ τοῦ ἑνὸς παραπτώματι οἱ πολλοὶ ἀπέθανον, πολλῷ μᾶλλον χάρις τοῦ Θεοῦ καὶ δωρεὰ ἐν χάριτι τῇ τοῦ ἑνὸς ἀνθρώπου Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ εἰς τοὺς πολλοὺς ἐπερίσσευσε.

Но не ꙗ҆́коже прегрѣше́нїе, та́кѡ и҆ да́ръ. А҆́ще бо прегрѣше́нїемъ є҆ди́нагѡ мно́зи ᲂу҆мро́ша, мно́жае па́че блгⷣть бж҃їѧ и҆ да́ръ блгⷣтїю є҆ди́нагѡ чл҃вѣ́ка і҆и҃са хрⷭ҇та̀ во мно́гихъ преизли́шествова.

And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

καὶ οὐχ ὡς δι᾿ ἑνὸς ἁμαρτήσαντος τὸ δώρημα· τὸ μὲν γὰρ κρῖμα ἐξ ἑνὸς εἰς κατάκριμα, τὸ δὲ χάρισμα ἐκ πολλῶν παραπτωμάτων εἰς δικαίωμα.

И҆ не ꙗ҆́коже є҆ди́нѣмъ согрѣ́шшимъ дарова́нїе: грѣ́хъ бо и҆з̾ є҆ди́нагѡ во ѡ҆сꙋжде́нїе: да́ръ же ѿ мно́гихъ прегрѣше́нїи во ѡ҆правда́нїе.

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

εἰ γὰρ τῷ τοῦ ἑνὸς παραπτώματι θάνατος ἐβασίλευσε διὰ τοῦ ἑνός, πολλῷ μᾶλλον οἱ τὴν περισσείαν τῆς χάριτος καὶ τῆς δωρεᾶς τῆς δικαιοσύνης λαμβάνοντες ἐν ζωῇ βασιλεύσουσι διὰ τοῦ ἑνὸς Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ.

[Заⷱ҇ 90] А҆́ще бо є҆ди́нагѡ прегрѣше́нїемъ сме́рть ца́рствова є҆ди́нѣмъ, мно́жае па́че и҆збы́токъ блгⷣти и҆ да́ръ пра́вды прїе́млюще, въ жи́зни воцарѧ́тсѧ є҆ди́нѣмъ і҆и҃съ хрⷭ҇то́мъ.

Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Ἄρα οὖν ὡς δι᾿ ἑνὸς παραπτώματος εἰς πάντας ἀνθρώπους εἰς κατάκριμα, οὕτω καὶ δι᾿ ἑνὸς δικαιώματος εἰς πάντας ἀνθρώπους εἰς δικαίωσιν ζωῆς.

Тѣ́мже ᲂу҆̀бо, ꙗ҆́коже є҆ди́нагѡ прегрѣше́нїемъ во всѧ̑ человѣ́ки вни́де ѡ҆сꙋжде́нїе, та́кожде и҆ є҆ди́нагѡ ѡ҆правда́нїемъ во всѧ̑ человѣ́ки вни́де ѡ҆правда́нїе жи́зни.

For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

ὥσπερ γὰρ διὰ τῆς παρακοῆς τοῦ ἑνὸς ἀνθρώπου ἁμαρτωλοὶ κατεστάθησαν οἱ πολλοί, οὕτω καὶ διὰ τῆς ὑπακοῆς τοῦ ἑνὸς δίκαιοι κατασταθήσονται οἱ πολλοί.

Ꙗ҆́коже бо ѡ҆слꙋша́нїемъ є҆ди́нагѡ человѣ́ка грѣ́шни бы́ша мно́зи, си́це и҆ послꙋша́нїемъ є҆ди́нагѡ првⷣни бꙋ́дꙋтъ мно́зи.

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

νόμος δὲ παρεισῆλθεν ἵνα πλεονάσῃ τὸ παράπτωμα. οὗ δὲ ἐπλεόνασεν ἁμαρτία, ὑπερεπερίσσευσεν χάρις,

Зако́нъ же привни́де, да ᲂу҆мно́житсѧ прегрѣше́нїе. И҆дѣ́же бо ᲂу҆мно́жисѧ грѣ́хъ, преизбы́точествова блгⷣть:

That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

ἵνα ὥσπερ ἐβασίλευσεν ἁμαρτία ἐν τῷ θανάτῳ, οὕτω καὶ χάρις βασιλεύσῃ διὰ δικαιοσύνης εἰς ζωὴν αἰώνιον διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν.

да ꙗ҆́коже ца́рствова грѣ́хъ во сме́рть, та́кожде и҆ блгⷣть воцр҃и́тсѧ пра́вдою въ жи́знь вѣ́чнꙋю, і҆и҃съ хрⷭ҇то́мъ гдⷭ҇емъ на́шимъ.
