THEN came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.

Καὶ συνάγονται πρὸς αὐτὸν οἱ Φαρισαῖοι καί τινες τῶν γραμματέων ἐλθόντες ἀπὸ Ἱεροσολύμων·

И҆ собра́шасѧ къ немꙋ̀ фарїсе́є и҆ нѣ́цыи ѿ кни̑жникъ, прише́дшїи ѿ і҆ерⷭ҇ли́ма:

And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.

καὶ ἰδόντες τινὰς τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ κοιναῖς χερσί, τοῦτ᾿ ἔστιν ἀνίπτοις, ἐσθίοντας ἄρτους, ἐμέμψαντο·

и҆ ви́дѣвше нѣ́кїихъ ѿ ᲂу҆чн҃къ є҆гѡ̀ нечи́стыми рꙋка́ми, си́рѣчь неꙋмове́ными, ꙗ҆дꙋ́щихъ хлѣ́бы, рꙋга́хꙋсѧ.

For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.

οἱ γὰρ Φαρισαῖοι καὶ πάντες οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι, ἐὰν μὴ πυγμῇ νίψωνται τὰς χεῖρας, οὐκ ἐσθίουσι, κρατοῦντες τὴν παράδοσιν τῶν πρεσβυτέρων·

Фарїсе́є бо и҆ всѝ і҆ꙋде́є, а҆́ще не тры́юще {до лакѡ́тъ} ᲂу҆мы́ютъ рꙋ́къ, не ꙗ҆дѧ́тъ, держа́ще преда̑нїѧ ста́рєцъ:

And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.

καὶ ἀπὸ ἀγορᾶς, ἐὰν μὴ βαπτίσωνται, οὐκ ἐσθίουσι· καὶ ἄλλα πολλά ἐστιν παρέλαβον κρατεῖν, βαπτισμοὺς ποτηρίων καὶ ξεστῶν καὶ χαλκίων καὶ κλινῶν·

и҆ ѿ то́ржища, а҆́ще не покꙋ́плютсѧ, не ꙗ҆дѧ́тъ. И҆ и҆́на мнѡ́га сꙋ́ть, ꙗ҆̀же прїѧ́ша держа́ти: погрꙋжє́нїѧ стклѧ́ницамъ и҆ чва́нѡмъ и҆ котлѡ́мъ и҆ ѻ҆дрѡ́мъ.

Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?

ἔπειτα ἐπερωτῶσιν αὐτὸν οἱ Φαρισαῖοι καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς· διατί οὐ περιπατοῦσιν οἱ μαθηταί σου κατὰ τὴν παράδοσιν τῶν πρεσβυτέρων, ἀλλ᾿ ἀνίπτοις χερσὶν ἐσθίουσι τὸν ἄρτον;

[Заⷱ҇ 28] Пото́мъ же вопроша́хꙋ є҆го̀ фарїсе́є и҆ кни́жницы: почто̀ ᲂу҆чн҃цы̀ твоѝ не хо́дѧтъ по преда́нїю ста́рєцъ, но неꙋмове́ными рꙋка́ми ꙗ҆дѧ́тъ хлѣ́бъ;

He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὅτι καλῶς προεφήτευσεν Ἡσαΐας περὶ ὑμῶν τῶν ὑποκριτῶν, ὡς γέγραπται· οὗτος λαὸς τοῖς χείλεσί με τιμᾷ, δὲ καρδία αὐτῶν πόρρω ἀπέχει ἀπ᾿ ἐμοῦ·

Ѻ҆́нъ же ѿвѣща́въ речѐ и҆̀мъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ до́брѣ прⷪ҇ро́чествова и҆са́їа ѡ҆ ва́съ лицемѣ́рѣхъ, ꙗ҆́коже є҆́сть пи́сано: сі́и лю́дїе ᲂу҆стна́ми мѧ̀ чтꙋ́тъ, се́рдце же и҆́хъ дале́че ѿстои́тъ ѿ менє̀,

Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

μάτην δὲ σέβονταί με, διδάσκοντες διδασκαλίας ἐντάλματα ἀνθρώπων.

всꙋ́е же чтꙋ́тъ мѧ̀, ᲂу҆ча́ще ᲂу҆че́нїємъ, за́повѣдемъ человѣ́чєскимъ:

For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

ἀφέντες γὰρ τὴν ἐντολὴν τοῦ Θεοῦ κρατεῖτε τὴν παράδοσιν τῶν ἀνθρώπων, βαπτισμοὺς ξεστῶν καὶ ποτηρίων, καὶ ἄλλα παρόμοια τοιαῦτα πολλὰ ποιεῖτε.

ѡ҆ста́вльше бо за́повѣдь бж҃їю, держитѐ преда̑нїѧ человѣ́чєскаѧ, крещє́нїѧ {ѡ҆мовє́нїѧ} чва́нѡмъ и҆ стклѧ́ницамъ, и҆ и҆́на подѡ́бна такова̑ мнѡ́га творитѐ.

And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς· καλῶς ἀθετεῖτε τὴν ἐντολὴν τοῦ Θεοῦ ἵνα τὴν παράδοσιν ὑμῶν τηρήσητε.

И҆ гл҃аше и҆̀мъ: до́брѣ ѿмета́ете за́повѣдь бж҃їю, да преда́нїе ва́ше соблюдетѐ:

For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:

Μωϋσῆς γὰρ εἶπε· τίμα τὸν πατέρα σου καὶ τὴν μητέρα σου· καί· κακολογῶν πατέρα μητέρα θανάτῳ τελευτάτω·

мѡѷсе́й бо речѐ: чтѝ ѻ҆тца̀ твоего̀ и҆ ма́терь твою̀: и҆, и҆́же ѕлосло́витъ ѻ҆тца̀ и҆лѝ ма́терь, сме́ртїю да ᲂу҆́мретъ:

But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.

ὑμεῖς δὲ λέγετε· ἐὰν εἴπῃ ἄνθρωπος τῷ πατρὶ τῇ μητρί, κορβᾶν, ἐστι δῶρον, ἐὰν ἐξ ἐμοῦ ὠφεληθῇς,

вы́ же глаго́лете: а҆́ще рече́тъ человѣ́къ ѻ҆тцꙋ̀ и҆лѝ ма́тери: корва́нъ, є҆́же є҆́сть да́ръ, и҆́же а҆́ще {и҆́мже бы} по́льзовалсѧ є҆сѝ ѿ менє̀:

And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;

καὶ οὐκέτι ἀφίετε αὐτὸν οὐδὲν ποιῆσαι τῷ πατρὶ αὐτοῦ τῇ μητρὶ αὐτοῦ,

и҆ не ктомꙋ̀ ѡ҆ставлѧ́ете є҆го̀ что̀ сотвори́ти ѻ҆тцꙋ̀ своемꙋ̀ и҆лѝ ма́тери свое́й,

Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

ἀκυροῦντες τὸν λόγον τοῦ Θεοῦ τῇ παραδόσει ὑμῶν παρεδώκατε. καὶ παρόμοια τοιαῦτα πολλὰ ποιεῖτε.

престꙋпа́юще сло́во бж҃їе преда́нїемъ ва́шимъ, є҆́же преда́сте: и҆ подѡ́бна такова̑ мнѡ́га творитѐ.

And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:

καὶ προσκαλεσάμενος πάντα τὸν ὄχλον ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς· ἀκούετέ μου πάντες καὶ συνίετε.

[Заⷱ҇ 29] И҆ призва́въ ве́сь наро́дъ, гл҃аше и҆̀мъ: послꙋ́шайте менѐ всѝ и҆ разꙋмѣ́йте:

There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.

οὐδέν ἐστιν ἔξωθεν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου εἰσπορευόμενον εἰς αὐτὸν δύναται αὐτὸν κοινῶσαι, ἀλλὰ τὰ ἐκπορευόμενά ἐστι τὰ κοινοῦντα τὸν ἄνθρωπον. [

ничто́же є҆́сть внѣꙋ́дꙋ человѣ́ка входи́мо во́нь, є҆́же мо́жетъ ѡ҆скверни́ти є҆го̀: но и҆сходѧ̑щаѧ ѿ негѡ̀, та̑ сꙋ́ть сквернѧ̑щаѧ человѣ́ка:

16

If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

εἴ τις ἔχει ὦτα ἀκούειν, ἀκουέτω.]

а҆́ще кто̀ и҆́мать ᲂу҆́шы слы́шати, да слы́шитъ.

17

And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.

Καὶ ὅτε εἰσῆλθεν εἰς οἶκον ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄχλου, ἐπηρώτων αὐτὸν οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ περὶ τῆς παραβολῆς.

И҆ є҆гда̀ вни́де въ до́мъ ѿ наро́да, вопроша́хꙋ є҆го̀ ᲂу҆чн҃цы̀ є҆гѡ̀ ѡ҆ при́тчи.

And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;

καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· οὕτω καὶ ὑμεῖς ἀσύνετοί ἐστε; οὔπω νοεῖτε ὅτι πᾶν τὸ ἔξωθεν εἰσπορευόμενον εἰς τὸν ἄνθρωπον οὐ δύναται αὐτὸν κοινῶσαι;

И҆ гл҃а и҆̀мъ: та́кѡ ли и҆ вы̀ неразꙋ́мливи є҆стѐ; не разꙋмѣ́ете ли, ꙗ҆́кѡ всѐ, є҆́же и҆звнѣ̀ входи́мое въ человѣ́ка, не мо́жетъ ѡ҆скверни́ти є҆го̀;

Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?

ὅτι οὐκ εἰσπορεύεται αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν καρδίαν, ἀλλὰ εἰς τὴν κοιλίαν, καὶ εἰς τὸν ἀφεδρῶνα ἐκπορεύεται, καθαρίζον πάντα τὰ βρώματα.

ꙗ҆́кѡ не вхо́дитъ є҆мꙋ̀ въ се́рдце, но во чре́во: и҆ а҆федрѡ́номъ и҆схо́дитъ, и҆стреблѧ́ѧ всѧ̑ бра̑шна.

20

And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

ἔλεγε δὲ ὅτι τὸ ἐκ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐκπορευόμενον, ἐκεῖνο κοινοῖ τὸν ἄνθρωπον.

Гл҃аше же, ꙗ҆́кѡ и҆сходѧ́щее ѿ человѣ́ка, то̀ скверни́тъ человѣ́ка:

21

For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

ἔσωθεν γὰρ ἐκ τῆς καρδίας τῶν ἀνθρώπων οἱ διαλογισμοὶ οἱ κακοὶ ἐκπορεύονται, μοιχεῖαι, πορνεῖαι, φόνοι,

и҆звнꙋ́трь бо ѿ се́рдца человѣ́ческа помышлє́нїѧ ѕла̑ѧ и҆схо́дѧтъ, прелюбодѣѧ̑нїѧ, любодѣѧ̑нїѧ, ᲂу҆бі̑йства,

22

Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

κλοπαί, πλεονεξίαι, πονηρίαι, δόλος, ἀσέλγεια, ὀφθαλμὸς πονηρός, βλασφημία, ὑπερηφανία, ἀφροσύνη·

татьбы̑, лихои̑мства, (ѡ҆би̑ды,) лꙋка̑вствїѧ, ле́сть, стꙋдодѣѧ̑нїѧ, ѻ҆́ко лꙋка́во, хꙋла̀, горды́нѧ, безꙋ́мство:

23

All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

πάντα ταῦτα τὰ πονηρὰ ἔσωθεν ἐκπορεύεται καὶ κοινοῖ τὸν ἄνθρωπον.

всѧ̑ сїѧ̑ ѕла̑ѧ и҆звнꙋ́трь и҆схо́дѧтъ и҆ сквернѧ́тъ человѣ́ка.

And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.

Καὶ ἐκεῖθεν ἀναστὰς ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὰ μεθόρια Τύρου καὶ Σιδῶνος. καὶ εἰσελθὼν εἰς οἰκίαν οὐδένα ἤθελε γνῶναι, καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνήθη λαθεῖν.

[Заⷱ҇ 30] И҆ ѿтꙋ́дꙋ воста́въ, и҆́де въ предѣ́лы тѵ̑рски и҆ сїдѡ̑нски: и҆ вше́дъ въ до́мъ, никого́же хотѧ́ше, дабы̀ є҆го̀ чꙋ́лъ: и҆ не мо́же ᲂу҆таи́тисѧ.

For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:

ἀκούσασα γὰρ γυνὴ περὶ αὐτοῦ, ἧς εἶχε τὸ θυγάτριον αὐτῆς πνεῦμα ἀκάθαρτον, ἐλθοῦσα προσέπεσε πρὸς τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ·

Слы́шавши бо жена̀ ѡ҆ не́мъ, є҆ѧ́же дщѝ и҆мѧ́ше дꙋ́ха нечи́ста, прише́дши припадѐ къ нога́ма є҆гѡ̀:

26

The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.

δὲ γυνὴ ἦνΕλληνίς, Συροφοινίκισσα τῷ γένει· καὶ ἠρώτα αὐτὸν ἵνα τὸ δαιμόνιον ἐκβάλῃ ἐκ τῆς θυγατρὸς αὐτῆς.

жена́ же бѣ̀ є҆́ллинска, сѷрофїнїкі́сса ро́домъ: и҆ молѧ́ше є҆го̀, да бѣ́са и҆зжене́тъ и҆з̾ дще́ре є҆ѧ̀.

But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.

δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτῇ· ἄφες πρῶτον χορτασθῆναι τὰ τέκνα· οὐ γάρ ἐστι καλὸν λαβεῖν τὸν ἄρτον τῶν τέκνων καὶ τοῖς κυναρίοις βαλεῖν.

І҆и҃съ же речѐ є҆́й: ѡ҆ста́ви, да пе́рвѣе насы́тѧтсѧ ча̑да: нѣ́сть бо добро̀ ѿѧ́ти хлѣ́бъ ча́дѡмъ и҆ поврещѝ псѡ́мъ.

And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.

δὲ ἀπεκρίθη καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· ναί, Κύριε· καὶ τὰ κυνάρια ὑποκάτω τῆς τραπέζης ἐσθίουσιν ἀπὸ τῶν ψιχίων τῶν παιδίων.

Ѻ҆на́ же ѿвѣща́вши глаго́ла є҆мꙋ̀: є҆́й, гдⷭ҇и: и҆́бо и҆ псѝ под̾ трапе́зою ꙗ҆дѧ́тъ ѿ крꙋпи́цъ дѣте́й.

And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ· διὰ τοῦτον τὸν λόγον ὕπαγε· ἐξελήλυθε τὸ δαιμόνιον ἐκ τῆς θυγατρός σου.

И҆ речѐ є҆́й: за сїѐ сло́во, и҆дѝ: и҆зы́де бѣ́съ и҆з̾ дще́ре твоеѧ̀.

And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.

καὶ ἀπελθοῦσα εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτῆς εὗρε τὸ παιδίον βεβλημένον ἐπὶ τὴν κλίνην καὶ τὸ δαιμόνιον ἐξεληλυθός.

И҆ ше́дши въ до́мъ сво́й, ѡ҆брѣ́те бѣ́са и҆зше́дша и҆ дще́рь лежа́щꙋ на ѻ҆дрѣ̀.

And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.

Καὶ πάλιν ἐξελθὼν ἐκ τῶν ὁρίων Τύρου καὶ Σιδῶνος ἦλθε πρὸς τὴν θάλασσαν τῆς Γαλιλαίας ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν ὁρίων Δεκαπόλεως.

[Заⷱ҇ 31] И҆ па́ки и҆зше́дъ і҆и҃съ ѿ предѣ̑лъ тѵ́рскихъ и҆ сїдѡ́нскихъ, прїи́де на мо́ре галїле́йско, междꙋ̀ предѣ̑лы декапѡ́льски.

32

And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.

καὶ φέρουσιν αὐτῷ κωφὸν μογιλάλον καὶ παρακαλοῦσιν αὐτὸν ἵνα ἐπιθῇ αὐτῷ τὴν χεῖρα.

И҆ приведо́ша къ немꙋ̀ глꙋ́ха и҆ гꙋгни́ва, и҆ молѧ́хꙋ є҆го̀, да возложи́тъ на́нь рꙋ́кꙋ.

And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;

καὶ ἀπολαβόμενος αὐτὸν ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄχλου κατ᾿ ἰδίαν ἔβαλε τοὺς δακτύλους αὐτοῦ εἰς τὰ ὦτα αὐτοῦ, καὶ πτύσας ἥψατο τῆς γλώσσης αὐτοῦ,

И҆ пое́мь є҆го̀ ѿ наро́да є҆ди́наго {ѡ҆со́бь}, вложѝ пе́рсты своѧ̑ во ᲂу҆́шы є҆гѡ̀ и҆ плю́нꙋвъ коснꙋ́сѧ ѧ҆зы́ка є҆гѡ̀:

And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.

καὶ ἀναβλέψας εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν ἐστέναξε καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· ἐφφαθά, ἐστι διανοίχθητι.

и҆ воззрѣ́въ на не́бо, воздохнꙋ̀ и҆ гл҃а є҆мꙋ̀: є҆ффаѳа̀, є҆́же є҆́сть разве́рзисѧ.

And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.

καὶ εὐθέως διηνοίχθησαν αὐτοῦ αἱ ἀκοαὶ καὶ ἐλύθη δεσμὸς τῆς γλώσσης αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐλάλει ὀρθῶς.

И҆ а҆́бїе разверзо́стасѧ слꙋ̑ха є҆гѡ̀, и҆ разрѣши́сѧ ᲂу҆́за ѧ҆зы́ка є҆гѡ̀, и҆ глаго́лаше пра́вѡ.

And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;

καὶ διεστείλατο αὐτοῖς ἵνα μηδενὶ εἴπωσιν· ὅσον δὲ αὐτὸς αὐτοῖς διεστέλλετο, μᾶλλον περισσότερον ἐκήρυσσον.

И҆ запретѝ и҆̀мъ, да никомꙋ́же повѣ́дѧтъ: є҆ли́кѡ же и҆̀мъ то́й запреща́ше, па́че и҆́злиха проповѣ́дахꙋ.

37

And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

καὶ ὑπερπερισσῶς ἐξεπλήσσοντο λέγοντες· καλῶς πάντα πεποίηκε· καὶ τοὺς κωφοὺς ποιεῖ ἀκούειν καὶ τοὺς ἀλάλους λαλεῖν.

И҆ преи́злиха дивлѧ́хꙋсѧ, глаго́люще: до́брѣ всѐ твори́тъ: и҆ глꙋхі̑ѧ твори́тъ слы́шати, и҆ нѣмы̑ѧ глаго́лати.
