16th Sunday after Pentecost

Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.

ὁ δὲ Πέτρος ἀναστὰς ἔδραμεν ἐπὶ τὸ μνημεῖον, καὶ παρακύψας βλέπει τὰ ὀθόνια κείμενα μόνα, καὶ ἀπῆλθε πρὸς ἑαυτὸν θαυμάζων τὸ γεγονός.

[Заⷱ҇ 113] Пе́тръ же воста́въ течѐ ко гро́бꙋ и҆ прини́къ ви́дѣ ри̑зы є҆ди̑ны лежа́щѧ: и҆ ѿи́де, въ себѣ̀ дивѧ́сѧ бы́вшемꙋ.

And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.

Καὶ ἰδοὺ δύο ἐξ αὐτῶν ἦσαν πορευόμενοι ἐν αὐτῇ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ εἰς κώμην ἀπέχουσαν σταδίους ἑξήκοντα ἀπὸ Ἱερουσαλήμ, ᾗ ὄνομα Ἐμμαούς.

И҆ сѐ, два̀ ѿ ни́хъ бѣ́ста и҆дꙋ̑ща въ то́йже де́нь въ ве́сь ѿстоѧ́щꙋ ста́дїй шестьдесѧ́тъ ѿ і҆ерⷭ҇ли́ма, є҆́йже и҆́мѧ є҆ммаꙋ́съ:

And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

καὶ αὐτοὶ ὡμίλουν πρὸς ἀλλήλους περὶ πάντων τῶν συμβεβηκότων τούτων.

и҆ та̑ бесѣ́доваста къ себѣ̀ ѡ҆ всѣ́хъ си́хъ приклю́чшихсѧ.

And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ὁμιλεῖν αὐτοὺς καὶ συζητεῖν καὶ αὐτὸς ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐγγίσας συνεπορεύετο αὐτοῖς·

И҆ бы́сть бесѣ́дꙋющема и҆́ма и҆ совопроша́ющемасѧ, и҆ са́мъ і҆и҃съ прибли́живсѧ и҆дѧ́ше съ ни́ма:

But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

οἱ δὲ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτῶν ἐκρατοῦντο τοῦ μὴ ἐπιγνῶναι αὐτόν.

ѻ҆́чи же є҆ю̀ держа́стѣсѧ, да є҆гѡ̀ не позна́ета.

And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ εἷς, ᾧ ὄνομα Κλεόπας, εἶπε πρὸς αὐτόν· σὺ μόνος παροικεῖς ἐν Ἱερουσαλὴμ καὶ οὐκ ἔγνως τὰ γενόμενα ἐν αὐτῇ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ταύταις;

Ѿвѣща́въ же є҆ди́нъ, є҆мꙋ́же и҆́мѧ клео́па, речѐ къ немꙋ̀: ты́ ли є҆ди́нъ пришле́цъ є҆сѝ во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мъ, и҆ не ᲂу҆вѣ́дѣлъ є҆сѝ бы́вшихъ въ не́мъ во дни̑ сїѧ̑;

And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

ὅπως τε παρέδωκαν αὐτὸν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες ἡμῶν εἰς κρῖμα θανάτου καὶ ἐσταύρωσαν αὐτόν.

ка́кѡ преда́ша є҆го̀ а҆рхїере́є и҆ кнѧ̑зи на́ши на ѡ҆сꙋжде́нїе сме́рти и҆ распѧ́ша є҆го̀:

But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

ἡμεῖς δὲ ἠλπίζομεν ὅτι αὐτός ἐστιν ὁ μέλλων λυτροῦσθαι τὸν Ἰσραήλ· ἀλλά γε σὺν πᾶσι τούτοις τρίτην ταύτην ἡμέραν ἄγει σήμερον ἀφ᾿ οὗ ταῦτα ἐγένετο.

мы́ же надѣ́ѧхомсѧ, ꙗ҆́кѡ се́й є҆́сть хотѧ̀ и҆зба́вити і҆и҃лѧ: но и҆ над̾ всѣ́ми си́ми, тре́тїй се́й де́нь є҆́сть дне́сь, ѿне́лиже сїѧ̑ бы́ша:

Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;

ἀλλὰ καὶ γυναῖκές τινες ἐξ ἡμῶν ἐξέστησαν ἡμᾶς γενόμεναι ὄρθριαι ἐπὶ τὸ μνημεῖον,

но и҆ жєны̀ нѣ̑кїѧ ѿ на́съ ᲂу҆жаси́ша ны̀, бы́вшыѧ ра́нѡ ᲂу҆ гро́ба:

And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.

καὶ μὴ εὑροῦσαι τὸ σῶμα αὐτοῦ ἦλθον λέγουσαι καὶ ὀπτασίαν ἀγγέλων ἑωρακέναι, οἳ λέγουσιν αὐτὸν ζῆν.

и҆ не ѡ҆брѣ́тшѧ тѣлесѐ є҆гѡ̀, прїидо́ша, глаго́лющѧ, ꙗ҆́кѡ и҆ ꙗ҆вле́нїе а҆́гг҃лъ ви́дѣша, и҆̀же глаго́лютъ є҆го̀ жи́ва:

And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

καὶ ἀπῆλθόν τινες τῶν σὺν ἡμῖν ἐπὶ τὸ μνημεῖον, καὶ εὗρον οὕτω καθὼς καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες εἶπον, αὐτὸν δὲ οὐκ εἶδον.

и҆ и҆до́ша нѣ́цыи ѿ на́съ ко гро́бꙋ и҆ ѡ҆брѣто́ша та́кѡ, ꙗ҆́коже и҆ жєны̀ рѣ́ша: самагѡ́ же не ви́дѣша.

And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

καὶ ἀρξάμενος ἀπὸ Μωϋσέως καὶ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν προφητῶν διηρμήνευεν αὐτοῖς ἐν πάσαις ταῖς γραφαῖς τὰ περὶ ἑαυτοῦ.

И҆ наче́нъ ѿ мѡѷсе́а и҆ ѿ всѣ́хъ прⷪ҇рѡ́къ, сказа́ше и҆́ма ѿ всѣ́хъ писа́нїй ꙗ҆̀же ѡ҆ не́мъ.

And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.

Καὶ ἤγγισαν εἰς τὴν κώμην οὗ ἐπορεύοντο, καὶ αὐτὸς προσεποιεῖτο πορρωτέρω πορεύεσθαι·

И҆ прибли́жишасѧ въ ве́сь, въ ню́же и҆дѧ́ста: и҆ то́й творѧ́шесѧ далеча́йше и҆тѝ:

But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

καὶ παρεβιάσαντο αὐτὸν λέγοντες· μεῖνον μεθ᾿ ἡμῶν, ὅτι πρὸς ἑσπέραν ἐστὶ καὶ κέκλικεν ἡ ἡμέρα. καὶ εἰσῆλθε τοῦ μεῖναι σὺν αὐτοῖς.

и҆ нꙋ́ждаста є҆го̀, глагѡ́люща: ѡ҆блѧ́зи съ на́ма, ꙗ҆́кѡ къ ве́черꙋ є҆́сть, и҆ приклони́лсѧ є҆́сть де́нь. И҆ вни́де съ ни́ма ѡ҆блещѝ.

And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ κατακλιθῆναι αὐτὸν μετ᾿ αὐτῶν λαβὼν τὸν ἄρτον εὐλόγησε, καὶ κλάσας ἐπεδίδου αὐτοῖς.

И҆ бы́сть ꙗ҆́кѡ возлежѐ съ ни́ма, (и҆) прїи́мъ хлѣ́бъ блгⷭ҇вѝ, и҆ преломи́въ даѧ́ше и҆́ма:

And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

αὐτῶν δὲ διηνοίχθησαν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί, καὶ ἐπέγνωσαν αὐτόν· καὶ αὐτὸς ἄφαντος ἐγένετο ἀπ᾿ αὐτῶν.

ѻ҆́нѣма же ѿверзо́стѣсѧ ѻ҆́чи, и҆ позна́ста є҆го̀: и҆ то́й неви́димь бы́сть и҆́ма.

And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

καὶ εἶπον πρὸς ἀλλήλους· οὐχὶ ἡ καρδία ἡμῶν καιομένη ἦν ἐν ἡμῖν, ὡς ἐλάλει ἡμῖν ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ καὶ ὡς διήνοιγεν ἡμῖν τὰς γραφάς;

И҆ реко́ста къ себѣ̀: не се́рдце ли на́ю горѧ̀ бѣ̀ въ на́ю, є҆гда̀ гл҃аше на́ма на пꙋтѝ и҆ є҆гда̀ ска́зоваше на́ма писа̑нїѧ;

And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,

καὶ ἀναστάντες αὐτῇ τῇ ὥρᾳ ὑπέστρεψαν εἰς Ἱερουσαλήμ, καὶ εὗρον συνηθροισμένους τοὺς ἕνδεκα καὶ τοὺς σὺν αὐτοῖς,

И҆ воста̑вша въ то́й ча́съ, возврати́стасѧ во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мъ и҆ ѡ҆брѣто́ста совокꙋ́пленыхъ є҆динона́десѧте и҆ и҆̀же бѧ́хꙋ съ ни́ми,

Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.

λέγοντας ὅτι ἠγέρθη ὁ Κύριος ὄντως καὶ ὤφθη Σίμωνι.

глаго́лющихъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ вои́стиннꙋ воста̀ гдⷭ҇ь и҆ ꙗ҆ви́сѧ сі́мѡнꙋ.

And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.

καὶ αὐτοὶ ἐξηγοῦντο τὰ ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ καὶ ὡς ἐγνώσθη αὐτοῖς ἐν τῇ κλάσει τοῦ ἄρτου.

И҆ та̑ повѣ́даста, ꙗ҆̀же бы́ша на пꙋтѝ, и҆ ꙗ҆́кѡ позна́сѧ и҆́ма въ преломле́нїи хлѣ́ба.

AND it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,

Ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ τὸν ὄχλον ἐπικεῖσθαι αὐτῷ τοῦ ἀκούειν τὸν λόγον τοῦ Θεοῦ καὶ αὐτὸς ἦν ἑστὼς παρὰ τὴν λίμνην Γεννησαρέτ,

[Заⷱ҇ 17] Бы́сть же належа́щꙋ є҆мꙋ̀ наро́дꙋ, да бы́ша слы́шали сло́во бж҃їе, и҆ то́й бѣ̀ стоѧ̀ при є҆́зерѣ геннисаре́тстѣ:

And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

καὶ εἶδε δύο πλοῖα ἑστῶτα παρὰ τὴν λίμνην· οἱ δὲ ἁλιεῖς ἀποβάντες ἀπ᾿ αὐτῶν ἀπέπλυναν τὰ δίκτυα.

и҆ ви́дѣ два̀ кораблѧ̑ стоѧ̑ща при є҆́зерѣ: ры́барїе же ѿше́дше ѿ нею̀, и҆змыва́хꙋ мрє́жи.

And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

ἐμβὰς δὲ εἰς ἓν τῶν πλοίων, ὃ ἦν τοῦ Σίμωνος, ἠρώτησεν αὐτὸν ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἐπαναγαγεῖν ὀλίγον· καὶ καθίσας ἐδίδασκεν ἐκ τοῦ πλοίου τοὺς ὄχλους.

Влѣ́зъ же въ є҆ди́нъ ѿ кораблю̑, и҆́же бѣ̀ сі́мѡновъ, молѝ є҆го̀ ѿ землѝ ѿстꙋпи́ти ма́лѡ: и҆ сѣ́дъ ᲂу҆ча́ше и҆з̾ кораблѧ̀ наро́ды.

And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Σίμων εἶπεν αὐτῷ· ἐπιστάτα, δι᾿ ὅλης τῆς νυκτὸς κοπιάσαντες οὐδὲν ἐλάβομεν· ἐπὶ δὲ τῷ ρήματί σου χαλάσω τὸ δίκτυον.

И҆ ѿвѣща́въ сі́мѡнъ речѐ є҆мꙋ̀: наста́вниче, ѡ҆б̾ но́щь всю̀ трꙋ́ждшесѧ, ничесо́же ꙗ҆́хомъ: по гл҃ꙋ же твоемꙋ̀ вве́ргꙋ мре́жꙋ.

And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

καὶ τοῦτο ποιήσαντες συνέκλεισαν πλῆθος ἰχθύων πολύ· διερρήγνυτο δὲ τὸ δίκτυον αὐτῶν.

И҆ сѐ сотво́рше, ꙗ҆́ша мно́жество ры́бъ мно́го: протерза́шесѧ же мре́жа и҆́хъ.

And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

καὶ κατένευσαν τοῖς μετόχοις τοῖς ἐν τῷ ἑτέρῳ πλοίῳ τοῦ ἐλθόντας συλλαβέσθαι αὐτοῖς· καὶ ἦλθον καὶ ἔπλησαν ἀμφότερα τὰ πλοῖα, ὥστε βυθίζεσθαι αὐτά.

И҆ поманꙋ́ша прича́стникѡмъ, и҆̀же бѣ́хꙋ во дрꙋзѣ́мъ кораблѝ, да прише́дше помо́гꙋтъ и҆̀мъ: и҆ прїидо́ша, и҆ и҆спо́лниша ѻ҆́ба кораблѧ̑, ꙗ҆́кѡ погрꙋжа́тисѧ и҆́ма.

When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

ἰδὼν δὲ Σίμων Πέτρος προσέπεσε τοῖς γόνασιν Ἰησοῦ λέγων· ἔξελθε ἀπ᾿ ἐμοῦ, ὅτι ἀνὴρ ἁμαρτωλός εἰμι, Κύριε·

Ви́дѣвъ же сі́мѡнъ пе́тръ, припадѐ къ колѣ́нома і҆и҃совома, глаго́лѧ: и҆зы́ди ѿ менє̀, ꙗ҆́кѡ мꙋ́жъ грѣ́шенъ є҆́смь, гдⷭ҇и.

For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:

θάμβος γὰρ περιέσχεν αὐτὸν καὶ πάντας τοὺς σὺν αὐτῷ ἐπὶ τῇ ἄγρᾳ τῶν ἰχθύων ᾗ συνέλαβον,

Оу҆́жасъ бо ѡ҆держа́ше є҆го̀ и҆ всѧ̑ сꙋ́щыѧ съ ни́мъ, ѡ҆ лови́твѣ ры́бъ, ꙗ҆̀же ꙗ҆́ша:

And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.

καὶ καταγαγόντες τὰ πλοῖα ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν, ἀφέντες ἅπαντα ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ.

И҆ и҆звле́кше (ѻ҆́ба) кораблѧ̑ на зе́млю, ѡ҆ста́вльше всѧ̑, в̾слѣ́дъ є҆гѡ̀ и҆до́ша.

There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.

Ἐγένετο ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις Ἡρῴδου τοῦ βασιλέως τῆς Ἰουδαίας ἱερεύς τις ὀνόματι Ζαχαρίας ἐξ ἐφημερίας Ἀβιά, καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῶν θυγατέρων Ἀαρών, καὶ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῆς Ἐλισάβετ.

[Заⷱ҇ 2] Бы́сть во дни̑ и҆́рѡда царѧ̀ і҆ꙋде́йска, і҆ере́й нѣ́кїй, и҆́менемъ заха́рїа, ѿ дневны́ѧ чреды̀ а҆вїа́ни: и҆ жена̀ є҆гѡ̀ ѿ дще́рей а҆арѡ́новѣхъ, и҆ и҆́мѧ є҆́й є҆лїсаве́тъ.

And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

ἦσαν δὲ δίκαιοι ἀμφότεροι ἐνώπιον τοῦ Θεοῦ, πορευόμενοι ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ἐντολαῖς καὶ δικαιώμασι τοῦ Κυρίου ἄμεμπτοι.

Бѣ́ста же првⷣна ѻ҆́ба пред̾ бг҃омъ, ходѧ̑ща во всѣ́хъ за́повѣдехъ и҆ ѡ҆правда́нїихъ гдⷭ҇нихъ безпорѡ́чна.

And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.

καὶ οὐκ ἦν αὐτοῖς τέκνον, καθότι ἡ Ἐλισάβετ ἦν στεῖρα, καὶ ἀμφότεροι προβεβηκότες ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις αὐτῶν ἦσαν.

И҆ не бѣ̀ и҆́ма ча́да, поне́же є҆лїсаве́тъ бѣ̀ непло́ды, и҆ ѻ҆́ба заматорѣ̑вша во дне́хъ свои́хъ бѣ́ста.

And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course,

Ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ ἱερατεύειν αὐτὸν ἐν τῇ τάξει τῆς ἐφημερίας αὐτοῦ ἔναντι τοῦ Θεοῦ,

Бы́сть же слꙋжа́щꙋ є҆мꙋ̀ въ чинꙋ̀ чреды̀ своеѧ̀ пред̾ бг҃омъ,

According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.

κατὰ τὸ ἔθος τῆς ἱερατείας ἔλαχε τοῦ θυμιᾶσαι εἰσελθὼν εἰς τὸν ναὸν τοῦ Κυρίου·

по ѡ҆бы́чаю свѧще́нничества ключи́сѧ є҆мꙋ̀ покади́ти вше́дшꙋ въ це́рковь гдⷭ҇ню:

And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.

καὶ πᾶν τὸ πλῆθος ἦν τοῦ λαοῦ προσευχόμενον ἔξω τῇ ὥρᾳ τοῦ θυμιάματος.

и҆ всѐ мно́жество люді́й бѣ̀ моли́твꙋ дѣ́ѧ внѣ̀, въ го́дъ {во вре́мѧ} ѳѷмїа́ма:

And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

ὤφθη δὲ αὐτῷ ἄγγελος Κυρίου ἑστὼς ἐκ δεξιῶν τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου τοῦ θυμιάματος.

ꙗ҆ви́сѧ же є҆мꙋ̀ а҆́гг҃лъ гдⷭ҇ень, стоѧ̀ ѡ҆деснꙋ́ю ѻ҆лтарѧ̀ кади́льнагѡ:

And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

καὶ ἐταράχθη Ζαχαρίας ἰδών, καὶ φόβος ἐπέπεσεν ἐπ᾿ αὐτόν.

и҆ смꙋти́сѧ заха́рїа ви́дѣвъ, и҆ стра́хъ нападѐ на́нь.

But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

εἶπε δὲ πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ ἄγγελος· μὴ φοβοῦ, Ζαχαρία· διότι εἰσηκούσθη ἡ δέησίς σου, καὶ ἡ γυνή σου Ἐλισάβετ γεννήσει υἱόν σοι, καὶ καλέσεις τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἰωάννην·

Рече́ же къ немꙋ̀ а҆́гг҃лъ: не бо́йсѧ, заха́рїе: занѐ ᲂу҆слы́шана бы́сть моли́тва твоѧ̀, и҆ жена̀ твоѧ̀ є҆лїсаве́тъ роди́тъ сы́на тебѣ̀, и҆ нарече́ши и҆́мѧ є҆мꙋ̀ і҆ѡа́ннъ:

And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.

καὶ ἔσται χαρά σοι καὶ ἀγαλλίασις, καὶ πολλοὶ ἐπὶ τῇ γεννήσει αὐτοῦ χαρήσονται.

и҆ бꙋ́детъ тебѣ̀ ра́дость и҆ весе́лїе, и҆ мно́зи ѡ҆ рождествѣ̀ є҆гѡ̀ возра́дꙋютсѧ:

For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

ἔσται γὰρ μέγας ἐνώπιον τοῦ Κυρίου, καὶ οἶνον καὶ σίκερα οὐ μὴ πίῃ καὶ Πνεύματος Ἁγίου πλησθήσεται ἔτι ἐκ κοιλίας μητρὸς αὐτοῦ,

бꙋ́детъ бо ве́лїй пред̾ гдⷭ҇емъ: и҆ вїна̀ и҆ сїке́ра не и҆́мать пи́ти, и҆ дх҃а ст҃а́гѡ и҆спо́лнитсѧ є҆щѐ и҆з̾ чре́ва ма́тере своеѧ̀:

And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.

καὶ πολλοὺς τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ἐπιστρέψει ἐπὶ Κύριον τὸν Θεὸν αὐτῶν·

и҆ мно́гихъ ѿ сынѡ́въ і҆и҃левыхъ ѡ҆брати́тъ ко гдⷭ҇ꙋ бг҃ꙋ и҆́хъ:

And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

καὶ αὐτὸς προελεύσεται ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ ἐν πνεύματι καὶ δυνάμει Ἠλιού, ἐπιστρέψαι καρδίας πατέρων ἐπὶ τέκνα καὶ ἀπειθεῖς ἐν φρονήσει δικαίων, ἑτοιμάσαι Κυρίῳ λαὸν κατεσκευασμένον.

и҆ то́й пред̾и́детъ пред̾ ни́мъ дꙋ́хомъ и҆ си́лою и҆лїино́ю, ѡ҆брати́ти сердца̀ ѻ҆тцє́мъ на ча̑да, и҆ проти̑вныѧ въ мꙋ́дрости првⷣныхъ, ᲂу҆гото́вати гдⷭ҇еви лю́ди совершє́ны.

And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

καὶ εἶπε Ζαχαρίας πρὸς τὸν ἄγγελον· κατὰ τί γνώσομαι τοῦτο; ἐγὼ γάρ εἰμι πρεσβύτης καὶ ἡ γυνή μου προβεβηκυῖα ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις αὐτῆς.

И҆ речѐ заха́рїа ко а҆́гг҃лꙋ: по чесомꙋ̀ разꙋмѣ́ю сїѐ; а҆́зъ бо є҆́смь ста́ръ, и҆ жена̀ моѧ̀ заматорѣ́вши во дне́хъ свои́хъ.

And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.

καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ ἄγγελος εἶπεν αὐτῷ· ἐγώ εἰμι Γαβριὴλ ὁ παρεστηκὼς ἐνώπιον τοῦ Θεοῦ, καὶ ἀπεστάλην λαλῆσαι πρός σε καὶ εὐαγγελίσασθαί σοι ταῦτα.

И҆ ѿвѣща́въ а҆́гг҃лъ речѐ є҆мꙋ̀: а҆́зъ є҆́смь гаврїи́лъ предстоѧ́й пред̾ бг҃омъ, и҆ по́сланъ є҆́смь глаго́лати къ тебѣ̀ и҆ бл҃говѣсти́ти тебѣ̀ сїѧ̑:

And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

καὶ ἰδοὺ ἔσῃ σιωπῶν καὶ μὴ δυνάμενος λαλῆσαι ἄχρι ἧς ἡμέρας γένηται ταῦτα, ἀνθ᾿ ὧν οὐκ ἐπίστευσας τοῖς λόγοις μου, οἵτινες πληρωθήσονται εἰς τὸν καιρὸν αὐτῶν.

и҆ сѐ, бꙋ́деши молчѧ̀ и҆ не могі́й проглаго́лати, до негѡ́же днѐ бꙋ́дꙋтъ сїѧ̑: занѐ не вѣ́ровалъ є҆сѝ словесє́мъ мои̑мъ, ꙗ҆̀же сбꙋ́дꙋтсѧ во вре́мѧ своѐ.

And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple.

καὶ ἦν ὁ λαὸς προσδοκῶν τὸν Ζαχαρίαν, καὶ ἐθαύμαζον ἐν τῷ χρονίζειν αὐτὸν ἐν τῷ ναῷ.

И҆ бѣ́ша лю́дїе ждꙋ́ще заха́рїю: и҆ чꙋдѧ́хꙋсѧ коснѧ́щꙋ є҆мꙋ̀ въ це́ркви.

And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.

ἐξελθὼν δὲ οὐκ ἠδύνατο λαλῆσαι αὐτοῖς, καὶ ἐπέγνωσαν ὅτι ὀπτασίαν ἑώρακεν ἐν τῷ ναῷ· καὶ αὐτὸς ἦν διανεύων αὐτοῖς, καὶ διέμενε κωφός.

И҆зше́дъ же не можа́ше глаго́лати къ ни̑мъ: и҆ разꙋмѣ́ша, ꙗ҆́кѡ видѣ́нїе ви́дѣ въ це́ркви: и҆ то́й бѣ̀ помава́ѧ и҆̀мъ, и҆ пребыва́ше нѣ́мъ.

And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.

καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἐπλήσθησαν αἱ ἡμέραι τῆς λειτουργίας αὐτοῦ, ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ.

И҆ бы́сть ꙗ҆́кѡ и҆спо́лнишасѧ дні́е слꙋ́жбы є҆гѡ̀, и҆́де въ до́мъ сво́й.

And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,

μετὰ δὲ ταύτας τὰς ἡμέρας συνέλαβεν Ἐλισάβετ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ, καὶ περιέκρυβεν ἑαυτὴν μῆνας πέντε,

[Заⷱ҇ 3] По си́хъ же дне́хъ зача́тъ є҆лїсаве́тъ жена̀ є҆гѡ̀, и҆ таѧ́шесѧ мцⷭ҇ъ пѧ́ть, глаго́лющи:

Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.

λέγουσα ὅτι οὕτω μοι πεποίηκεν ὁ Κύριος ἐν ἡμέραις αἷς ἐπεῖδεν ἀφελεῖν τὸ ὄνειδός μου ἐν ἀνθρώποις.

ꙗ҆́кѡ та́кѡ мнѣ̀ сотворѝ гдⷭ҇ь во дни̑, въ нѧ́же призрѣ̀ ѿѧ́ти поноше́нїе моѐ въ человѣ́цѣхъ.
